I got the Barbecue Eel Role and the Steak Yaki Udon. The people I were with ordered the teriyaki salmon and chicken. Both of mine were absolutely delicious, however the role had a bit too much cream cheese. The main dining area is peaceful, but there was a kid running around and the bathroom was in rough shape.

If I could give zero stars – I would. We came in tonight to place a to go order and enjoy some drinks while we waited for the order. All seemed well at first until we had been sitting for 30 minutes and realized no sushi chef was behind the counter.

There were children running around the back and crying, and it seemed like the chefs or people in charge were handling kids in the back. They finally came out and started making our food 40mins in. The host told us “5 more minutes at the MOST” which was actually another 20 mins.

It all seemed like these owners/people don’t care about their business or the customers they serve. Not to mention – when we got the food – it was TERRIBLE. See the pictures for the “SUSHI” we waited 50 minutes for.

Fred Meyer down the road is better – don’t waste your time! YUCK.

The food has kind of always felt just okay for its price point – It’s good, just not sure if the food is worth the price, but the girl working front of house, Lindsay (hopefully spelling it right) is YOUNG and more patient than most adults my middle age. She’s the reason for the 5 stars. I saw her easily navigate a legit difficult customer, and little toddler family members of coworkers (who was just also an absolute sweetpea and so adorable). It’s the family vibe, and Lindsay makes that happen front of house- I’m not wealthy enough to give more than 30% tip, but give that girl a raise.

This is a nice little sushi place. We ate here on a Saturday around 2PM. Not a common time to eat, so service was very quick and good. We had a nice pleasant waitress. We ordered the Tuna Takaki as an appetizer. It was okay, but not my favorite. I thought the tuna would be seared right before serving, but it appears they probably sear a big hunk of tuna and then cut off pieces when they need it. Not my thing, but now I know. We took advantage of their three roll combo. The three roll combo is three classic rolls for $20. We ordered the Philadelphia Roll, the Salmon Skin Roll, and the Alaskan Roll. We love salmon, what can I say. The Philadelphia Roll was our favorite of the classic rolls, the smokey flavor of the salmon blends so well with the cream cheese. The Alaskan Roll was a solid second place, boasting a nice salmon flavor. The Salmon Skin Roll was what I would call a “oopsie”. I must’ve thought it would be salmon belly, which I know I have enjoyed in the past. The Salmon Skill Roll is just what it sounds like, scaly, chewy, no meat, and easily my least favorite. But again that’s on me. We also ordered two speciality rolls. We ordered the Long Island Roll and the City Hall Roll. I highly recommend both of them. They are both a must to order. I am unsure if I have a clear favorite of the two. The City Hall Roll features an extremely white tuna with cream cheese and is a little spicy. The contrasting colors make it look particularly appealing. The Long Island Roll is a larger-than-average roll that is absolutely packed full of fish. It also has white tuna as well as red snapper, yellow tail, and salmon. This roll is amazing with just a little soy sauce to enhance its flavor. I will have to come back to this sushi spot in the future. I will need to try the Irchiro Roll and Green Delight Roll.
Overall, I recommend the Tokyo Belly Sushi.

Online the place looks amazing! Then you go in..
Kids running everywhere, wait times are crazy. But the worst part was the food poisoning afterwards. About 30 minutes after leaving my stomach was super queasy. Wanting to vomit still days after. Can’t eat. The fish smelled off but I wasn’t sure it was from our order
We will never be back again.
Definitely don’t recommend eating here.

The server who helped our table was really friendly and attentive. The fish was nice in the rolls we ordered and there was a good quantity of fish to rice. The restaurant was clean and the decor interesting. A good lunchtime experience and I would return when visiting Pocatello. My wife likes the miso soup and I thought the dressing on the salad appetizer was quite nice

Had a wonderful lunch experience here. The dining are was clean and decorated. We were quickly seated by great staff. The food came fast! We had the calamari, wontons, and 3 rolls (Magic, green River, and Dynamite). It also came with miso soup and salad. The salad was very small but the dressing was good. The miso was excellent. I thought the rolls were presented beautifully and compared well to high-end sushi restaurants. I was worried this would be “discount sushi” but it was high quality and tasted great. If you get a chance, give them a try!

Honestly one of the best little sushi places I have ever stopped by, very affordable and great portion size! The fried rice is absolutely amazing and very well prepared.

Their sushi is also very fresh and tasted great.

I ordered noodles, sushi, rice, and a salad. Spent less than 20$ and was some of the best sushi I’ve ever had.

The inside seems a little small but but their staff was very friendly, fast and and the tables and areas were frequently cleaned.

I sat at the sushi bar and watched the two chiefs make the sushi fresh and fast, there were also nice to talk to and joke around with.

Price was good, quality was fair. My biggest complaint is simply the overuse of cream cheese in the products. While cream cheese is a common ingredient, and adds to the overall flavor, Tokyo Sushi just goes a bit overboard with how much they use.

I have been back with my son several times. We have been impressed by everything. Maybe my first couple visits they were a bit heavy handed woth cream cheese, but have been very pleased with everything since then. Keep it up. This is generally s0eaking our goto for Sushi.

Loved this place! The food was priced fairly, and the service was phenomenal. Found out its family owned, and they hire locals. They have my businesses!!
