Only reason I gave five Stars because of our Host Ms. Amber. Her service and attention to our presence was very much appreciated. Thank You! Let’s talk about Mexican food. Did you lightly fried the $20 Burrito? If you did,you should have notified the guest beforehand, burrito should be wrapped in a warm tortilla!!. It was too salty overall, especially the pork belly taco and the taco with a Chinese(???) name. Tortilla soup was one of the worse I have ever had( I have very close ties with Mexican family heritage/food for over 30 years. soup is supposed to be very hot not like tap water warm. I couldn’t finish it because it was so bland. My fish taco was wonderful but steak taco meat was tasted like chewing on some pieces of rubber. I know my review is harsh but you can find all I said was very true and honest about the food. Hope this review will help you do better in the future. Presentation was wonderful. Thank You. Please review my pictures.

This place has a cool vibe. Love the hanging lanterns. Reminds me of a resort we stayed at in Cancun. We wanted a girls night with pictures of margaritas and appetizers in this place couldn’t have been more perfect. We had a great waiter who was very attentive, made some great recommendations, and made sure we always had what we needed throughout the meal. We got a picture of strawberry, pineapple, margaritas, chips and salsa, queso, a guacamole, trio, and coconut shrimp. We had no complaints, everything was great, I’m super weird about food temperature And everything came out hot just the way I like it. It was surprisingly quiet for a Thursday night. There’s a huge bar area had tons of barstools and was surprisingly empty. I’m glad we stopped in. We’ve talked about it for a while, but hadn’t had a chance to try it. It was well worth the trip.

This place is fantastic! The chips and dip are perfect and then, if you add the guacamole and cheese dip options…you cannot go wrong! The tacos were delicious as served without adding salsa or extras, and the burrito bowl…well, way too much food to eat, but a nice snack for later at home we highly recommend this as a regular stop. Thank you Ancho & Agave, well done

Came here on a Sunday around 3 PM. The restaurant was not busy at all.

First, the positives:
The food was excellent, both in taste and presentation. The music was great, and the prices were very affordable, especially for the quality of the food.

What needs improvement is the service coordination. There were two hosts positioned at the entrance, yet we waited unnecessarily while one of them stood in the back. There was little sense of teamwork or awareness of what was happening on the floor.

Our waiter, on the other hand, truly went above and beyond. He took our orders, made our drinks, cleaned tables, and handled multiple responsibilities at once. He was clearly compensating for gaps elsewhere. Despite the restaurant being slow, our finished dishes sat on the table for a while, which felt more like a staff-allocation issue than being understaffed.

Additionally, when we asked to move to a different table, one that was not right next to other guests, the host appeared visibly upset, and questioned why even though the restaurant was essentially empty at the time.

That said, I will come back. The food was great, the drinks were good, and the pricing makes it worth returning. I’m willing to bypass today’s service experience, especially given the generally positive reviews this place has.

I do want to note, however, that we were the only minorities present at the time (staff not included), which makes the experience worth reflecting on.

I will continue trying their dishes to see whether this was situational or something more consistent.

This review reflects my first impression, and I wanted to share it honestly.

The kung pao chicken taco is very spicy to someone sensitive to it, but at a medium spice level for someone who’s not. The Horchata Coffee had a nice taste. The texture was too powdery for me. We had to get a reservation, but I think it was because of the holiday (Valentine’s Day). There were 14 taco options, and 2-4 options for the other foods (quesadillas, soup/salads, enchiladas, fajitas, burritos). The cauliflower taco was my favorite. The esquite was good, too. It’s “Mexican food” not comida mexicana.

Nice vibe! Food was delicious. Fajitas were very good along with salsa and guacamole. Some of the reviews say the service was slow, I’d have to agree. It was slower but not awful.

This is not your traditional Mexican place. But a very nice fusion place. I had the carnitas burrito which had fried plantains, coconut, and a peanut sauce. Delicious but not gonna give you the traditional Mexican cuisine fix.
Service was very friendly and the atmosphere was modern and clean. I would definitely go back to try some different dishes

Ancho & Agave is a standout Mexican restaurant that gets it right on both food and atmosphere. The tacos are exceptional — flavorful, well-balanced, and clearly made with care. Each bite reflects quality ingredients and thoughtful preparation, whether you’re ordering classic options or something more creative.
The décor deserves special mention. The space is vibrant, stylish, and inviting, striking a perfect balance between modern and warm. It elevates the entire dining experience and makes the restaurant a great choice for everything from casual meals to celebratory dinners.
Between the outstanding tacos, welcoming ambiance, and overall attention to detail, Ancho & Agave is absolutely worth a visit. Highly recommended for anyone looking for great Mexican food in a beautiful setting.

Our first time here. We ordered the Chile-Lime Shrimp Fajitas, Steak Asada taco, and Barbacoa taco. The shrimp fajitas were flavorful and came with generous toppings. The steak taco was a little dry, but the tasty sauce made up for it. The tacos are on the smaller side, but the house-made flour tortillas were soft, fresh, and really elevated the meal.

The atmosphere was lively, and service was friendly and attentive. Considering the quality and the setting, the price is very reasonable for such a nice place. A solid spot for bold, modern Mexican flavors — we’ll definitely come back to try more!
