What a pleasant surprise this locally owned Thai restaurant turned out to be.
Erawan Thai in Cumming has quickly become our favorite Thai spot in the area.
We met the owner during our visit, and she is incredibly kind and clearly passionate about her food. She personally oversees many of the dishes, and it shows in the quality. Up front, Landon handled our service, and he was excellent… friendly, attentive, and welcoming. He deserves a shoutout for the great service.
We ordered gyoza and dumplings to start, and both were very good. The dipping sauce they serve is not the typical soy sauce mix you find at most places; it has a sweeter profile and paired perfectly.
I also ordered the chicken Tom Kha soup (it’s a coconut base broth) and it was outstanding!!! Earthy, full of chicken and mushrooms, and very flavorful.
For entrées, my wife ordered their red curry with veggies and it was so good! Plenty on potats that combined well with the rest of the curry meall and rice, and I tried the drunken noodles. The noodles were cooked perfectly… not mushy, not overdone, but with a great texture and “snap.” The portion size was generous enough that I actually had leftovers, which is rare for me.
Desserts were another highlight. The mango sticky rice was excellent, very soft and well-balanced. The coconut cake was also fantastic, with a cream-cheese-style icing and a very moist interior.
There are several Thai restaurants in this area, but we truly believe this one stands out above the rest. Great food, excellent service, and a warm, welcoming ownership.
One important note: Google Maps randomly dropped us off you at the wrong location. The correct spot is in the same shopping center as Papa John’s off Peachtree Parkway (address shows 1595 Peachtree Parkway).

Food was great. I got the cheese roll and the Thai Curry Noodles with chicken. It came with a red curry sauce, and the sauce was great. Good texture and flavor. Good portion size as well. Good causal restaurant to bring your family and friends.

I definitely recommend Erawan because the food here never disappoints. Everything is always so flavorful and well-seasoned. This time we tried the tofu Thai curry noodles and the sesame chicken, and both dishes were absolutely delicious.

Great place to explore some good Thai food. The basil chicken fried rice was good with the right amount of spice, the drunken noodles were a bit on the soggy side, where I would expect it to be a bit more dry and more flavorful. Overall a good place for some nice Thai cuisine. Will be back to try out other dishes.

I love thai food after Indian. My favorite signature dish goes to Basil fried rice. I love it with the cucumbers, chicken, egg, tofu and the spice level. I love it. Next goes to Drunken Noodles and my husband loves the Curries like Panang, Red etc. All of the food is very delicious. Seating space is ok. Service I friendly. Price is little high end. Parking space is decent.

Great find! We stopped here for a quick lunch. Service was quick, food was hot and had a lot of flavor. We got sesame chicken, pad Thai, and panang curry. Great variety and really hit the spot.

Overall good experience. I am vegetarian and they had plenty of veggie and tofu options. Also the vegetarian dishes do not have fish oil that’s an added advantage for vegetarians.

Compliments to the chef! The service was also amazing; the servers were observant and attentive to our needs without being intrusive. I’ll definitely be back to explore the menu. Highly recommend!

Yummy food, service is quick, staff is excellent. The staff is always friendly and the food is always delicious. I really enjoyed the Tom Yum soup. We ordered Red curry, Basil Tofu fried rice. It was really delicious and in good quantity. Only one warning is Careful about spicy levels before ordering .Parking available, veg options available is plenty.
