The rock n roll beef pocket was ruined by those awful “sweet peppers”. They were the most bitter things I’ve ever tasted. I had to pick them out to even eat it. Do yourself a favor and get it without them. It could also use a little more meat. You mostly taste the cheese and crust. The restaurant also has a weird unpleasant smell to it like old dirty water or something.

Jimbo’s took over Gelsosimos’ phone number. A worker apprised me, unbeknownst to me, that Digg’s Restaurant which housed Gelsosimos, closed down, so Gelsosimo’s moved to 12257 Walker in Lemont. I was taken aback to find out the restaurant was really Jimbo’s upon arrival. The worker flat out lied. To add insult to injury, she furthered the lie by telling me that they sell Gelsisoimos’ pizza there. Upon tasting their pizza, clearly, they did not measure up to Gelsoimos’. The only positive thing I can say is the crust was somewhat decent. Everything else tasted like it was right out of the freezer. So deceptive and disappointing…especially to spend $25 on a medium cheese pizza that ended up in the trash after a few slices.

Always our favorite local spot for thin crusty chicago pizza. Good sauce, toppings, and well cooked. The 19 inch “Lemonster” is our go to and as you can see is huge, took up my whole stovetop when serving. Another favorite of ours is the “beef pocket” which is essentially Italian beef, cheese and giardinara between two pizza crusts served with au jus and Marinara on the side for dipping.

Ordered just some basic spaghetti from them a while ago and it was literally expired. I tried eating some and it made me sick that night. I called back and they promised somebody would call me back later and hopefully issue a refund. That never happened. I used to buy by the slice here during the week and it was great. I’ve ordered pizza that had been burnt from them, which was disappointing but not so bad. Making me sick with disgusting expired food was the last time I’ll give it a shot. No thanks no more

Order from this place a couple of times, every time I am getting pizza from them it comes as ONE BIG MESS, ingredients come in different sizes and shapes all over the pizza, pad burnt, cant serve that type of pizza to any guests looks filthy.

Tried to order a pizza with Italian Beef as a topping (listed on their website and in-person menu), person taking my order said they didn’t have Italian Beef. So I ordered a Beef Pocket (which has Italian Beef), and a double dough pepperoni pizza. I can’t prove it, but I think the dough was premade and then frozen. Physically, there was pepperoni and cheese, but you wouldn’t know that by tasting it. There might have been a tablespoon of sauce on the whole thing. So, the pizza was a let down. The Beef Pocket though, that was pretty alright. Of course, it did leak juice and sauce all over my passenger in my car. It did taste okay, but it had more hair on it than I would have liked.
Just go to Turnabout instead.

This is my favorite traditional Chicago style thin crust pizza in the area. There are a couple of places the people of Lemont swear by, but this is the best. It’s way cheaper and the ingredients are of much higher quality than the big Chicago chain down the street. I’ve had the thin crust, the Knotza, and the Sicilian, and all were delicious. Delivery is always on time and my food is hot. This has been and will continue to be my go to pizza spot.

Super nice family owned business. I ordered a paper thin pizza. My only wish was that it would have been done a little bit more well done and will request this next time. The stuffed pepper soup was great!

Alright I’m gonna level with you here; this is the best pizza shop. The best. Take your favorite pizza place and completely disregard it because it doesn’t hold a candle to the pie that the folks at Jimbos will whip up for you. The sauce is that perfect medium-dark savory type that gives you that sweet sweet Umami moment, the cheese a perfect gooey/stringy tension that breaks at the perfect length (especially if you order it well done), and the CRUST. Oh the crust. I swear I had about sixty of these pizzas in college and every single time the crust was a classic tavern style that left me wanting another twenty squares.

Best tasting pizza I’ve ever had. The service is great. Been there several times and they always prove it. Very clean restaurant and the staff is great. I’m from Louisville KY and I know what I’m talking about. Jimbo’s beats Pappa John’s, Pizza Hut and Domino’s by far. Never had a bad experience at Jimbo’s.
