The host was quick to greet us at 6:30 on a Monday night, and with no reservation we were sat inside of a minute. It was surprising to find that the place had any empty seats. The staff was friendly, the drink list had some wonders on it, (even if the beer list was a bit short).
We came seeking a good restaurant with gluten free meals, and we were not disappointed!
The cheese curds are soft and chewy, the buffalo wings were large and soaked in delicious sauce, and each one of our burgers was cooked well with good seasoning and juicy bites.
The star of the night was the mushroom caps starter. 10 out of 10 on that one.
We will definitely be back again!
Good: burgers were more impressive in person that photos. Really enjoyed the fresh chips and salsa. Cheese curds good and fresh. Burrata was different than a photo, still good though would have enjoyed a couple more crostinis. Shaved beef was enjoyed by both who ordered it though they’d have enjoyed an au jus to dip.
Several of us tasted the shrimp tacos and found them to have too much pepper and a bit too sweet. Had a few ice cream cookie desserts. Only 4 flavors available. Great concept and flavors however some are well frozen and enjoyed easily as a sandwich and another flavor was much softer, not sturdy, and messy. The pad thai was mediocre. Good effort in ingredients but the flavor just didn’t hit like a solid pad thai.
The disappointing meal was the thai chicken lettuce wraps. Lettuce was wilty and it was totally dry and sauceless upon arrival. Neither the slaw nor chicken had sauce so I had to ask for peanut sauce. Sauce had good flavor but the dish was really not prepared accurately. I expect slaw to be more than just the veggies too.
Overall decent but will probably only return when gluten free is needed for someone in our group or they get a bit more experience.
We did enjoy the birthday offering which was tasted by all since the recipient is not a big chocolate fan. Would appreciate a chocolate alternative.
Cheese curds
Soft and batter is not super crispy, but very tasty. Highly recommend the BBQ sauce with. The normal dipping sauce is also good too.
Cuban
Great flavor with loads of meat.
There is a good twist with the sour dough bread.
Burger
Flavored well and meat quality is amazing. Patty was crispy and salted well. The bun also held up very well with the burger, which didn’t get soaked up with the juices.
Fries could be better/crispy but still solid
Drinks were very good and highly recommend the twists they have on it.
I definitely would go back again to try some of the other food items.
The appetizer we got was the burrata bomb which came with fresh mozzarella and roasted cherries tomatoes in a cast iron skillet so it took a little work to eat but was refreshing
I got the royal with cheese, which is a pulp fiction reference-all of the menu items are references to movies and songs from the 90s and we really nerded out over that. The price for 1 patty was only 11.50 and it’s grass fed beef from a local farmer, they also list where they get their meat from. So in my opinion it’s a great price especially if you look at the quality and price of fast food these days.
My mom got the latin bowl with the added grilled chicken, it was phenomenal. Spicy and flavorful and the chicken was well cooked. They have a Korean bowl option too, which it’s just nice to have a Latin/Asian inspired menu since Chino Latino closed down, and we didn’t even have to drive all the way to the cities for this
My side salad was also very fresh and they had a balsamic that was also creamy it was so good. They have roasted chickpeas instead of croutons and I was a huge fan of the seasoning and texture of those. My mom doesn’t even like chickpeas and she loved the salad and the crunch they added.
We came around lunch time on a Saturday, they weren’t too busy but still full of people and our food came out fast and hot. The whole experience was great
They’re offering desserts from an ice cream sandwich food truck. So many flavors to choose from that all sounded gas. We got the oatmeal cookie one with cinnamon pecan ice cream it’s so good (this was the gluten free option too) !
I honestly think all these bad reviews came from people who came here when it was super busy and I feel like it’s fair to give this place a break their first week open, everybody is still learning and they got slammed with tons of business right away.
Before I get the “you wrote this review X amount of hours before we open” reply, yeah I did. We went last night and I’m writing it in the morning.
