After trying most of the Indian/South Asian restaurants in Jersey, Indian ocean has the Best Pulao rice in town. Authentic South Asian Barbecue Cuisine( Halal). Supreme and succulent in taste. Portion size is generous even starter is fulfilling.

Came to this restaurant as it had excellent reviews. A few reviews did say it wasn’t good however myself and my work colleague found it absolutely brilliant. Service was spot on, fast and no hassle,pressure etc.. the food I opted for the chicken vindaloo, I asked for no coriander and this was catered for. I also asked for a keema naan topped with garlic & cheese as I saw someone’s photo of a garlic & cheese naan but I also fancied the keema meat and they catered to my request and it was brilliant. So delicious the flavours just popped in your mouth. Absolutely brilliant experience and was a reasonable price. The food was better than a curry house back home in Oldham which I love. Will be returning before heading off the island next week for another meal.

First visit here, despite living in Jersey for 19years, and visiting annually after leaving the island.
First impressions – the staff were dressed in matching well presented uniforms. Interior was clean and really tidy/ smart.
Good varied menu –
Service was good. Had a slight glitch with my dhansak but a new one came out freshly cooked with couple of minutes which was cracking. The prawns were lovely and tender, sauce was thick and tasty. Never had an Indian that tasted so fresh. And their Bombay potatoes are the best I’ve had.
The prices in Jersey are more expensive than they are in Wales but well worth the visit.
Definitely come again!

Fantastic food, friendly and welcoming staff. The best pickle tray I’ve had in years, 100% best lime pickle.

Nice and friendly staff but average food in my opinion. I was looking forward to some Indian food but unfortunately it didn’t hit the spot. Chicken curry masala was not so tasty, same for the pilau rice and cheese naan. Wouldn’t come back here even though it clearly attracts a bit crowd as the place was buzzing. Just going through the menu will take you about 10min…

We found this Indian restaurant while enjoying a few days in Jersey. Each of our meals was from such high quality, which you very rarely find elsewhere. We were so impressed by the food, we decided to go there the next day again.
We can absolutely recommend the “Indian Ocean” , not just because of the meals, but also the service and the interior was excellent. Nice ambiance and super friendly staff.

Staff are wonderful, very hospitable. The chicken is tandooried which saves the dishes that were otherwise incredibly bland! Seems we’re not the only ones saying the same. Arguably the worst Murgh Makhani (Butter Chicken) i’ve had – the picture speaks for itself and looks more like a creamed-out Tikka Masala. It should be thick and rich but sadly not. Naans also fresh too which was nice but the sauce drips off! Wish I had tried their hottest dish (Zall Zall Naga) as it would give me a good comparison any flavour to exist in the kitchen.
