Went for breakfast at about ten am , wasn’t crowded . Got drinks right away took awhile to have someone come back to even take our order and once our order was placed it took so long we questioned if we were going to eat . One plate showed up , with part of the order wrong and missing the ability to eat at all due to no silverware , when the second plate showed up about ten minutes later , the order was wrong, over hard eggs ordered and received over medium .They did correct the mistakes and bring silverware ( took a bit) however the food wasn’t great. Greasy and just bland. We enjoy trying local owned spots however we will not return here . Slow slow service for not so great food .

They all were having a bad day. From the staff’s not happy mood, to the taking for ever to be served, to the food coming out 1 dish at a time slowly so much that 2 people were done eating quite awhile before two of us got our meal. I know it’s a family owned place and my mother in-law has been coming here for years, but today was not a good day for them or us.

I wanted to like this place so much. We love supporting small businesses. But my experience was disappointing.
I ordered scrambled eggs with cheese. I was brought fried eggs. I mentioned the error, and about ten minutes later I was brought a plate with a pile of chopped fried eggs with cheese. We were out of time so I didn’t ask for another redo.
When I mentioned the second error with my eggs when asking for the bill, I got a vague “ok” in reply. The bill came without any sort of discount or explanation.
I paid and left. We will not be returning.

I love all of the kitchy mugs and the drawings on the wall. It made it feel like I was visiting someone’s home. The food was Great basic breakfast food and reasonably priced. Will Definitely visit again.

Great little spot in downtown martinez! Love the small cafe feel. My mom had the Cook’s Skillet and I had the Bacon/Pecan Belgian Waffle. Gotta say, it was the best Belgian waffle I’ve had in a long time!

This review is purely for American style kitchen it is. Had a pleasant experience in everything. Fair warning, – the entries are giant, so while making an order, please make sure you’ll be able to handle it.
Got myself a half a combo with hashbrowns, which turned out to be a little bit greasy, however, very tasty and is done right on the spot spice level, and baked.
Please might need a little bit of a tuneup interior wise however, again for the atmosphere, it provides – it has its own vibe.

If I could I’d give this place all the stars in the universe. The food was absolutely fantastic. The waitress was super kind and really made sure I had everything I needed. The pricing is spot on and reflects in the portion sizes. You won’t be able to ever leave this place hungry. I’m not a local but, I love finding local spots and this one will be my spot every time I come to California.
