Delicious and rich flavours and with three entrees and three “mediums” we were comfortably full. We also ordered three side dishes which actually ended up being too much, but if you’re starving, go for it!
They also seem to consistently hit the mark with their house red wine.
Nice atmosphere but give yourself some extra time to park. Street parking can be at a premium and you may just have to park 5min walk away.
One word: Exceptional
We opted for the Chefs table fixed price menu and couldn’t have been more happy.
Great service from the team and food was absolutely delicious.
Lesson: dont eat too much of the great focaccia, because we were almost full by the time 9+ wagyu and flounder mains landed.
That said we also had trout, scallops, lamb lollypops, porkbelly and numerous accompanying dishes. Delicious.
We still managed to clean up the 3 different maccaron based desserts at the end, whiskey caramel, passionfruit, cherry! , and a doggy bag was sorted for for the mains.
I couldn’t recommend the experience enough.
Thanks for a great afternoon.

$55 for a 3 course meal with 9 dishes is honestly incredible. Cinder runs this every Sunday afternoon and for both quality and quantity it is an absolute bargain. Everything was well cooked and well seasoned, and dining in such a beautiful space made the experience even better. My only small wish was for the bread to be a little more moist.
The food was amazing. Just a couple of nit-picks..
I ordered a Cube Roll steak, which now I know means ‘Scotch Fillet’. However, it was a $62 steak so I expected amazing things. It was certainly a delicious steak which I ordered medium-rare, and it was. However it was very very chewy and under seasoned. I had to ask for salt.
We also ordered the medium plate of Calamari. I was shattered that it wasn’t a fries calamari, but I was pleasantly surprised. It was delicious! However being a ‘medium’ plate, I thought it would have been a decent size. Nope! It was tiny…and we ordered it to share!
On the topic of Dining Experience, i know this place is ‘fine dining’ but honestly I think it can do better. We arrived at 7pm and we were starving. The staff don’t give you the food menus right off the bat – they come later. By the time we ordered food as a group of 6, it was 8.30pm! Also the waitress just seemed like she couldn’t be bothered and also forgot to ask how we wanted our steaks cooked and had to come and ask multiple times. Also the food menus was wayyyy too confusing, especially for a group of 6. Please simplify!
So yes, overall slightly underwhelmed but I do think I’d return and try some other food
On this occasion, I recommended Cinders for a special family celebration. Unfortunately, because we were a larger group, we were required to have a set menu. The set menu didn’t showcase what makes the restaurant special — apart from the steak, there was very little on offer that reflects the quality I’ve experienced in the past. The fish was dry and lacked flavour, and overall the meal felt underwhelming.
For this reason, I’ve given three stars. I wouldn’t recommend Cinders for larger groups where a set menu is enforced. That said, the service was lovely, as always.
