Lovely family restaurant serving amazing German food. The plates are full and delicious. They are accommodating and happy to replace anything on the menu. The beer is fantastic and authentic. I wish they had vegan food but understand that’s not how German food is.

Wait staff:
Service here is extremely friendly and courteous. They are always on top of what you need (water, clearing plates, etc) and are more than happy to explain menu items. We really enjoy chatting with them!
Atmosphere:
It’s a really bright, German-feeling place. It’s somewhat formal in the way the tables are dressed, but also feels very relaxing and homey. They have some German music playing in the background which is nice.
Food:
The menu seems to have all of the best/traditional German food. I love their brats, and the mushroom gravy is amazing! I haven’t had anything there that I didn’t like. I gotta say that the bread pudding is the best I’ve ever had!
Overall:
This place is such a gem, and is my absolute favorite place to eat in the area.

Great service and great food! I didn’t even know I liked German food till I ate here. I was daring and went with the Special I didn’t know nor remember what it was, but it was great. The side of buttery noodles were fantastic as well. Good authentic German beer on tap, wow!

Came here for lunch and was pleasantly surprised! Service was great and our server was very courteous. I personally had the currywurst with french fries, and a cup of the spinach soup. Both dishes were excellent. Beer selection looked really nice as well.

Been here three times. Has become one of my favorite restaurants. I took a German friend of mine and he raves about the food. It has a lovely German environment, very welcoming, great service and the food could not be better. It is located in a small town east of Saint Louis and it is not in a visible location. Use your GPS for this one, it is truly a hidden treasure. I drive 40 minutes to get there and it is well worth the drive! Don’t miss this one!!!

The food was amazing! Too bad we went on a night with a huge party on the other half of the building. Better planning on their part would of been a smart thing to do. The servers we very friendly and helpful while running their tails off. Waiting an hour for bread and salads. Food took about 1.5 hours. People that sat way after us had food before us. Kitchen needs better planning. If you are patient, the food is defiantly worth it though.

Nice restaurant with very good food. Authentic German dishes. Staff was friendly and they had a good selection on there menu. My only complaint was that the price was a bit high for the portion size of there pork schnitzel. It was done perfectly but I would have expected veal for that price. The deserts were also good and they have a good wine selection. Although the price per glass is also high. Overall I would go back and sample some of there other dishes.

We took my parents for Mother’s Day Dinner! What a fantastic place. The atmosphere is great, food AMAZING, reasonably priced. Will definitely go back and would tell anyone looking for something new to try it out. You won’t be disappointed. LOVE IT!!!

This place is great! The food was absolutely awesome. I had the schnitzel sampler and two cola weizens. I don’t know how anyone could give this place a bad review, especially if they have been in Germany for any extended amount of time. There was definitely nothing wrong with the portion sizes. Schnitzel is meant to be flat. Definitely worth the drive out, we will be back!

My wife surprised me for my birthday by bringing me here for dinner. It was awesome! I have been searching for authentic German food within a reasonable drive and this is definitely it! I’ve driven by here for years and never knew it was here, so glad she found it! She had the schnitzel sampler and loved it. I have the jager schnitzel and roulade and both were excellent! Will definitely be coming back!!
