I’m so excited to be running a new food business in Detroit, called Mitten Kitchen. We specialize in delicious, freshly made Stir-fry, sandwiches, salads and desserts.Our mission is to deliver delicious food to the people of Detroit in a convenient and affordable way. We strive to create a welcoming and enjoyable atmosphere, and we strive to make our customers feel like they’re eating in a restaurant. At Mitten Kitchen, we use only the freshest ingredients and make all of our food with love. We take pride in every dish we serve and guarantee that our customers will be delighted with their meal. Our menu is constantly changing, so there’s always something new to try. We also offer catering services for special event and occasions.

Ordered from DoorDash for delivery. Ordered arrived hot and fresh and smelling delicious out the bag. I was iffy at first because of the price point but reading the reviews I decided to take a chance. The hubby and I both got the Riverwalk. With salmon and shrimp with a base of smashed potatoes and Alfredo sauce. The reviews do not lie! Portions huge! So delish and just the right amount of seasoning! Of course I had to try the corn. Let’s just say wow ! Meal was worth every penny!

This was a total surprise. This little lady is doing this all by herself and doing it right. Fresh food and self designed seasonings. She is the real deal. The food is spectacular. I was blown away by what they offered and how it was cooked. This is not a greasy spoon spot. This is a small-scale gourmet restaurant. It is take out, yes. But the quality and care put into it is second to none. Great job of everything. Absolutely fantastic!

I had The New Orleans from this place a month ago and it was absolutely delicious!! The Shrimp and Cajun Chicken was seasoned to perfection! I ordered from them again this time The Ball Park and it was just as tasty! The chef there knows what they are doing, the food is sooo good! And the portion size is very generous. Now this is what made me go here and write this review, I ordered on DoorDash and I asked for no onions, well they noticed too late and it was already picked up. Well i got a call from the owner himself Gary, and he apologized and before I even got my food, he made a fresh one and delivered it to me in person!! Even still had his apron on! Thats the best customer service I have ever received, i didnt even ask for a new one, but he did that anyway. Now thats going above and beyond for his customers, thanks Gary that was amazing and your food is on another level brother, will definitely be ordering from you in the future! To anyone reading this, order from Mitten Kitchen, the food is delicious, full of flavor, and the customer service is just as great!

I love this place so much I’d like to keep it to myself. I’m sure chef knows me by ticket name since I order here at least once or twice a week. The lamb chops, salmon and/or salmon shrimp egg roll is all I typically get.. Consistently, the food is delicious each and everytime. Chef, those last lamb chops you sent me, I almost dropped a tear. They were so thick, tender and seasoned like you loved me or something I know we don’t know each other, but if you get to read this, THANK YOU! GREAT JOB and you can always TAKE my Money!!!!

Got takeout. First time in Detroit. Ordered 5 different meals for 5 different people. All five (including me) said it was fire. Phenomenal, if you will. The jolly ranchers were *chef’s kiss*. Highly recommend!!!

The fried corn was so amazing! It was my first time having garlic parm corn, and it did not disappoint. The garlic butter rice was great, and the shrimp were so big. Great portions!

Food was decent but, a customer shouldn’t have to pay for the noodles or rice when buying chicken Alfredo. Also when a customer door dash they need to staple the container closed or at least put those stickers around the edges that u can tell of it been tampered with or not. So for those reasons I gave a 3star rating

Omg it was so delicious!! I spent hours searching doordash for the perfect dinner and I found just that with Mitten Kitchen! They were very pleasant when I called to make sure I could add special instructions! I got the Garlic butter rice and added salmon, shrimp, and lobster bites omg perfect! (Lobster bites were a great addition!) Thank you for putting my rice separate! I also got the steak Alfredo and got it separate. the Alfredo is delicious, but I thought it would be real steak bites. Instead, it’s the shredded steak used for Philly cheesesteaks. still delicious. next time, I would just get lamb chops instead. Thank you so much. I will be ordering again soon! Looking forward to trying everything!

Unfortunately I have to update my review from 5 stars to 3 star. My first order was perfect and left me wanting more but unfortunately my recent order was disappointing. I had go take off 1 star because unlike my first order, they did not follow my instructions so the flavor was subpar for me. I had to take off another star because I received half the amount that I received for my first order. I paid over $7 for lobster bites and barely received any. I also only received 1/4 the amount of salmon. The amount of shrimp was the same and fair. It’s unfortunate that the quality was not consistent because I was looking forward to mitten kitchen being my new favorite spot.

Ordered on door dash and their lamb chops are easily top 3 in the city. Well seasoned and cooked just right. Chicken wings were cooked well but could use a little more seasoning.
