Absolutely delicious! We wanted to try everything they had ! And we will be back to try everything there . The food was absolutely amazing! The staff and cook are extremely friendly! Family owned and you can taste the love she puts into every single dish ! We even bought the biggest container we could have their salsa !!! Truly amazing! Thank you to everyone there ! We will be back to experience everything on the menu! I highly recommend trying this place ! It’s truly a hidden gem!!!!

I want to emphasize that the service was impeccable, everyone on the staff was kind and attentive. For it being Valentine’s Day, I am so impressed at how well it was run on one of the busiest nights of the year and there being afull house.
The food, unfortunately, was not great. The queso fundido was probably the best of the four things we ordered. I truly wanted to like this place, but the esquites were watery and didn’t seem to have mayo, the mole chicken enchiladas ordered(the rojo and negro) were without spiciness and true, fresh zing. It was also room temperature, when mole is best warm. It’s hard to explain, but maybe the choice of chicken enchiladas with mole did not blend well into one dish.
The drinks were phenomenal, but it was mostly ice. We opted for mango/passionfruit/pineapple cocktails without alcohol(mocktails – $12) but for being comprised of what I’m guessing is just juice, $12 is a lot.
Take this with a grain of sugar as I’m no mole expert, but it lacks that homemade feel.

This restaurant truly redefines Mexican cuisine— definitely not your typical Mexican food, in the best way. The flavors are bold, unexpected, and absolutely amazing, with beautiful presentation in every dish.
The family who runs the restaurant did a great job and made the experience so warm and welcoming.
Prices are on the higher side, but completely worth it for the quality and creativity. The chocolate tamale dessert was hands down one of the best things I’ve ever had. Unforgettable!
Highly recommend for an elevated dining experience.

This is my favorite Mexican restaurant in the burbs. Definitely authentic Mexican. The mole sauces are delicious!! Make sure to try one!! My daughter doesn’t like cilantro and the chef made her a pico de gallo without cilantro without even asking for it. Talk about amazing service!! The margaritas are delicious. I had the passion fruit one. Definitely check out this gem !! Everything is made fresh!!

We indulged in the delicious food at El Alebrije. Everything was delicious and flavorful. We ordered the albóndigas in chipotle, which had the perfect amount of spice . The grilled platter was filling and are leaving with leftovers. Our bellies are full content. Will definitely come back here.

Amazing!! I am so glad they are finally open . me and my boyfriend have been waiting for a while to try their food and we are glad we did . for starters I got the esquite which was so flavorful ! not ur typical esquite. For entrees, me and my bf ordered the mole rojo and mole verde enchiladas. they were so good we practically inhaled the plate will be coming back soon. the price IS worth it. I promise you . best mexican restaurant out there ✨

I recently dined at El Alebrije Mexican Restaurant & Bar in Countryside, and it was an absolute delight from start to finish. The food here is incredibly delicious I started with their fresh guacamole, which was perfectly seasoned and loaded with chunks of avocado, tomato, and a hint of lime. For the main course, I went with the Enchiladas de Mole, and wow, the rich, complex mole sauce was spot on, coating tender chicken in a symphony of chocolatey, spicy flavors that had me savoring every bite. My dad had the pork chops, which were juicy, well-grilled, and paired beautifully with rice and beans that tasted homemade.
The staff was fantastic, friendly, attentive, and knowledgeable about the menu without being overbearing. Our server recommended some specials and checked in just the right amount to make sure everything was perfect. And speaking of perfect, the food came out in a timely manner we weren’t left waiting long at all, even though the place was buzzing on a weekend evening. Overall, a great spot for authentic Mexican cuisine with excellent service. I’ll definitely be back!

My hubby and I stumbled upon this place and we couldn’t be more impressed! We ordered the chips and salsa, guac, shrimp in sauce, steak tacos, chocolate cake with ice cream and goats milk salted caramel crepes. Every item is SPECTACULARLY prepared and just divine in flavor and execution. All her ingredients are no doubt fresh and premium selection and the Chefs attention to each and every detail is undeniable. The salsa was so good, we ordered a pint to take home. My husband is Mexican, spent summers in Mexico cooking with his grandma, and he looked at me and said “Ive never had food like this. I want to keep coming back and try everything on the menu.” My tacos clearly had fresh made tortillas and the steak just melted in my mouth. The desserts were phenomenal. The chocolate cake is so soft and delicate and the presentation is outstanding. I genuinely do not like crepes, had them once in my life and was never interested again, and THESE, oh they changed me forever. If you’ve never had caramel made from goats milk, YOU NEED TO NOW AND ONLY FROM HERE! absolutely exquisite experience and we will certainly be back for more ASAP! The staff is as warm and accommodating as you could hope for, so attentive and inviting. We spoke with the chef personally and her daughter (who was our waitress) and they are just the most delightful human beings. Please check it out and tell your friends. This is the kind of place the area has been needing! ❤️

Exquisite Mexican cuisine. Gives a whole new experience to Mexican dining with fresh ingredients and out of the ordinary dishes. They have recipes and sauces that require much skill and time to perfect, unlike any traditional common hot sauces. It takes it to a broader level. If you like the traditinal Mexican dishes but want to experience it from a different perspective you must try these recipes. The family was very welcoming and gave great service. Fantastic new place and nice clean ambiance. Our group tried several different menu items and everything was great. Will be returning soon for brunch also on Fri & Sat. They offer 1 of my favorite Mexican breakfast, Juevos Motulenos, which is not easy to find around town. Looking so forward to having it here.
