If you are ever close to the food truck park in Edinburg tacos el Gordis should be your first stop!!
Absolutely amazing experience.
Fresh ingredients with everything made to order and I don’t even think they own a heat lamp.
The food took approximately 5 minutes and came out perfect. The tacos bistek were tender and prepared perfectly and reminded me of eating them across the border in Mexico. Fresh cilantro, lime and salsa rojo and verde to pair perfectly.
We also got the papa asada that was loaded with both meat and cheese. This restaurant does not skimp on the good stuff.
Service was excellent. We were greeted and our order placed within a minute of arriving.
Location is a food truck. You will be eating on a picnic table enjoying the fresh South Texas air. It’s a fair trade for the exceptional food.
Extremely satisfied and so glad we decided to stop in and check it out.

I ordered a bistec combo and a papa asada separately, but they only charged me for the big papa asada and 4 tacos. When I told the lady I wanted the taco combo instead (which includes tacos, a drink, and a papa) and asked if I could just pay the difference, she kindly gave me a mini papa for free! She kept checking on us to make sure we had everything we needed. Great service and great place overall!

easily a 10 out of 10. The food quality is amazing and they don’t cheap out on portion sizes you actually get full and feel like your money is worth it. Everything tastes fresh, flavorful, and well made. The service is great and the overall experience is solid. If you love good tacos and real portions, this place is a must try. I highly recommend everyone go check it out straight 10/10

Was looking for a place to eat after a night out with family, looked for tacos spot near me on Google… saw this spot with positive reviews and decided to stop by and give it chance since they were open late (1am on Friday night) we all ordered tacos and all were really good. The young lady taking care of us with super nice and friendly, the owner even stepped out to offer us anything else we may need and asked us how everything was. Very nice family owned business.. they offer dine in and curbside ordering.

If you want delicious affordable taquitos this is the place to try out food is out of this world you won’t be disappointed at all everything on the menu is amazing! Everything here was so good! The tacos were delicious, and the salsas were amazing they pair perfectly with the tacos. I also tried the sincronizada and the hotdog, and both were really good. The bistec is flavorful, the cebolla asada was perfectly cooked, and the frijoles charros were so good as well. I got my order for pickup, and the food was still warm and delicious when I got it. Highly recommend this place!
