Well, we travel all over the US and have visited more than 100 locally owned, coffee shops,in 48 states. I am a huge advocate for supporting local businesses, and like to be honest when writing reviews. I also believe in providing product quality at reasonable prices, to all customers. First, this place has a nice atmosphere, and is clean. However, in our experience the food was ok, and yet very over priced for what you get. Example: we ordered 2 sandwhiches (no chips or, cookie or, etras) and a 16 oz iced coffee, and it came to 40.00!? That is about 15.00 for 1 bagel sandwhich with no extras offered. Hmm… My Gluten free sandwhich (questionable) was dry, 1 egg instead of 2 as posted, a bit mushy, and my 6.50 coffee was 50 percent ice. This is the 1st time we have ever paid that much, and even more than a certain popular.US coffee chain. I understand that prices for certain items are up, but this amount was a bit excessive for what was offered. But as I said, we support locally owned businesses as much as we can. Anyway, I will continue to write reviews to offer insights so, others can make informed decisions. Thanks

I used to enjoy coming to this coffee shop, but honestly it completely depends on whether the owner is there or not. Whenever she’s around, the whole atmosphere changes and not in a good way. She’s extremely nepotistic when it comes to customer service and hospitality. It feels like certain people get treated great while others get nit‑picked for things that have never been an issue before. When I went this morning, she told me my dog needed to be on a leash because she had “a baby” in the shop. The thing is, I’ve brought my dog in there plenty of times before without a leash and with my own child, it’s never been a problem. My dog has actually never even been on a leash and is very well behaved. It honestly made me wonder if she just has very undisciplined dogs herself if she assumes every dog is going to cause a problem. I completely understand that she’s the owner, but the way she handled it felt unnecessary and pretty unfriendly. Owning a business doesn’t mean you should treat customers differently depending on your mood or who they are. There are a lot of good coffee places out there, and customer service and consistency matter. Experiences like this make it hard to want to come back.

We just happened to drive through Chama looking for coffee and found this place! The woman was so nice and made the best coffee we had during our roadtrip! And her cookies the New Mexico Sunrise breakfast sandwich was delicious! Highly recommend!

We stayed in Chama this past fall as a home base for a road trip to Chaco Canyon (which is an amazing ancestral place to visit!!). We loved the Chama Coffee Shop and Wine Bar! We started our Chaco Canyon road trip day with coffee and a breakfast sandwich… yum! It was beautifully decorated for fall and super friendly staff. A real gem!

This was one of the luckiest finds of my foodie life. I needed a place to do a seminar on Zoom and spent from 9 AM until 3 PM there. They make their own baked goods, great coffee and drinks, but the best part was the people. They were so nice so accommodating of me and my Internet needs
We had breakfast danish lunch of delicious sandwiches with most ingredients homemade. We even had to wait for one pastrami to come out of the oven to get our sandwich. It’s such a simple pleasure in life when you make a find like this. And it’s always about the people who smile and love to serve . It’s what I love about the hospitality industry. The people who have pure joy in making you smile and make funny sounds in your tummy.

What a find! We spent six hours at this place working remotely one day as we were passing through New Mexico. Best coffee shop ever, especially their food. We had bakery items for breakfast and the most incredible sandwiches for lunch. They also gave us free cupcakes. I don’t even like cupcakes but I tried theirs and it was the most amazing cupcake I’ve ever tasted. Everyone was so pleasant. They even let us stay inside after they closed and were cleaning up so that we could finish our work day.

Great place to stop, looks modern from the outside but enter the door to a different world! Friendly, warm welcome, rustic style interior. The menu board threw all ideas of just stopping for a coffee out of the window! The aroma of coffee and food was too delicious to ignore!
Avacado toast was delicious as was the Chama Roast Beast.
Sitting eating there was a cheery greeting for everyone who entered, advice for those who needed it and obviously a place for locals to pop in too.
