Reviews
The poppadoms and dips were great.
Our starters were dry and the samosas seemed like they were frozen and the fried, very greasy. The paneer tikka was also overcooked and very dry.
Our mains were very tasteless for an Indian restaurant. My partner has a saag dish that was greasy and had little to no flavour. My ‘chef specialiaty’ dish that promised a depth of spices, tasted like burnt curry powder with tomato added.
We did not have any ‘check-backs’ and we weren’t even asked how our meal was after the fact, to let our servers know how our food was.
TLDR, we had both had positive experiences with this restaurant a few years ago, but unfortunately the food has become tasteless and the service lacking.
As it was Valentine’s Day all the ladies were given a red rose. Very nice touch. Will be going back again 5* (edited sorry 14th)
I think Monday and Tuesday nights are buy 1 get 1 free.
Will definitely be returning.
Staff were super super friendly, food was not only amazing but they kept it very traditional which I can understand how hard that can be. Not to mention the prices are really fair and worth every bit of this experience!! Deffo my first choice for fine dining from now own.
somewhat over zealous in the food colouring for the tandoori chicken as well as the mint sauce. overall, typical Bangladeshi “indian” restaurant that you can find everywhere.
feeds the hungry traveller, so it has that much going for it.
I have visited this restaurant +5 times during the past year and they consistantly deliver excellent food and great service.
Last night I visited with 3 colleagues and we all ordered dofferent items from the menu.
All dishes were served at the same time and everything was spot on. I am a big fan of the Naga curry – the chicken and the lamb are equally delicious!
In such a beautiful village and the restaurant setting was lovely but these are the only 2 positives.
I’m not sure what type of Indian it was supposed to be but nothing I’ve ever had in India. Food was tasteless or overtly sweet – didn’t know there was ever an orange colored raita.
I had the tandoori mix and used the lamb cutlets to resole my shoes.
The worst Indian I’ve ever had
Food was lovely, service was fine. Ordered from the specials section of the menu but memory let’s me down so can’t remember what I ordered (sorry). But it was very nice and I’d have happily eaten another plateful.
