We had heard that the Ruben “sandwich’s” here are the best anywhere around. As we both like Rubens very much, we thought we’d give SueBob’s a try.
The claims we had heard were not exaggerated! These sandwiches were wonderful!!
Nice atmosphere, very clean. A tad bit cool but not too uncomfortable.
Danielle did a terrific job of making certain that we had everything that we needed.

We dropped in about 30 minutes before closing and our sweet little waitress informed us that they were out of most of the menu items before we sat down. She informed us that they still had country fried steak and all of the veggies on the board. The food was excellent, the service was top notch and we will definitely be back anytime we’re in the area. Thanks a bunch.

Stopped here on a work trip. And so glad we did! I had the sausage, egg, and cheese sandwich on toast and it was delicious. The owner is precious and the restaurant has a very homey old school diner feel. I love places like this. Makes traveling that much more fun. Thank you for the awesome food and service! We were in town for a craft fair this past weekend. 9/4/2021. We stopped in at this country diner on a whim.
Anna was our waitress. She made us feel right at home from the moment she walked up to our table.
She sat down at our table with us, answered menu questions, took our orders and was very attentive the whole visit. Our drinks never once ran dry. She kept coming by to make sure we had everything we needed.
The atmosphere in this place was very comfortable, clean and quaint. I ordered the House Club Sandwich with kettle chips and Pickles.
When they brought the sandwich out, I couldn’t believe how huge it was. I could barely fit the thing in my mouth, it was so big!
Everything was fresh and full of flavor.
If you find yourself in Powell’s Crosdroads near Whitwell, Tennessee, and you don’t stop in at Sue Bob’s Diner , you’ve missed out on a hidden small community gem.
I would highly recommend this place to anyone.

Had a great meal. Good protions, great flavor in the Tequila sauce for their salmon plate. Salmon was cooked well. Their desserts now include a 28 variety of cakes to choose from, or a few others items.
