I was looking for a good butter chicken spot for quite a while and I heard about this place on reddit so me and my girlfriend tried it out and we haven’t gotten butter chicken from anywhere else since. It is the best butter chicken I’ve ever had in my life. I crave it constantly. They give you such big portions that every time we order it we have leftovers for lunch the next day and we get to experience the divine flavour of Tasty Indian a second time. Very moderately priced as well. Thank you Tasty Indian for making my life better. Couldn’t recommend this place more.

Must try!! Get the dosa or the ginger beef! Amazing food and great owners! Small spot so you can either dine in or take out but the food is delightful!

recently dined at Tasty Indian Restaurant, and it was such a wonderful experience! I tried the Masala Dosa, Mysore Dosa, and Rasmalai, and each one was incredibly tasty. The dosas were perfectly crisp, flavorful, and served with amazing chutneys and sambar. The Mysore Dosa had the perfect amount of spice, and the Masala Dosa was so comforting and delicious.
To finish, the Rasmalai was absolutely delightful—soft, creamy, and perfectly sweet. The service was warm and friendly, and the overall atmosphere made the meal even better.
Highly recommend this place if you’re craving authentic and delicious Indian food! I’ll definitely be coming back.

Edit: Once again, this restaurant has hit it out of the park with really good food. Terrific prices and they go above and beyond to make customers happy. Highly recommended. This time, we ordered Shrimp 65, Chat Papri, Shahi Paneer, Saffron Rice, Samsosa, and received free naan through a Skip promotion. Delicious! I am never disappointed.
I haven’t been to the restaurant but I am always very happy when I order from here on Skip or Door Dash. Delicious every single time, fresh, hot, and the prices are good. This time, we got the butter chicken, shahi paneer, lasooni gobi, saffron rice, samosas, and garlic naan. Just be aware that sometimes even “baby mild” has a decent kick to it. The butter chicken sauce is the closest I have found to my favorite ever Indian restaurant that closed down, if anyone remembers Indian Fusion Curry House, their butter chicken sauce was SO good, best in the city and the only restaurant that comes close is Tasty Indian.

Definitely my go-to Indian spot in the city, and it’s at least a 15 min drive away, more in current weather conditions. I’ve been getting the hot chicken tikka masala here for a few years now, and have put a few of my friends on it who all got something else and we all agree that it’s delicious. I’ve yet to order these myself but my friend adored the veggie samosas. Butter chicken also delicious. Always make sure to get a gaflic naan along with whatever you order, you won’t be able to have standard butter naan again once you do. Portions are generous for a pretty good price. I’d say the only thing to look out for is sometimes communication can be a bit rocky, so just be sure to speak clearly when you’re ordering and if it’s for dine-in or take out.

Ordered Chicken Biryani via Uber and I only get 2 tiny piece of chicken, 1 chicken wing would be bigger x2 I’ll say. all I get is a dry basmati rice, never buying again here, namaste serving is better.

I am from Toronto and visiting Edmonton. Last night ordered dinner from this restaurant through DoorDash. Just loved their food and taste was awesome. Authentic South Indian taste. So today decided to visit the restaurant in person. Really felt a great hospitality by Venkat the owner. His other staff who attended us was so friendly and polite. Felt happy to speak in Tamil with them. Today they had speciality combo of chicken Briyani for Father’s Day. The quantity was great and even 3 people can have it. The mutton sukka was melting in the mouth. The porota and Salna tasted awesome. We ordered chicken 65 and one of the best I tasted. Their Gulab jamun should not be missed. I think it’s made of Kova and not the usual ready made stuff. Thank you very much Venkat for your service standards and awesome food. Wish you and your team the best

Ordered the chicken biryani for take out—unfortunately, it was very dry and lacked flavor. However, the butter naan was soft and tasty.

We eat a lot of Indian food, but this place is definitely a hidden gem. It has a meat shop, grocery store and a restaurant.
We ordered chicken lollipop, Mysore masala dosa, garlic naan, coconut naan, biriyani. The food is very fresh- usually Indian food is very heavy on flavor and you can’t taste the meat, but my 10 year old son is chowing down on the chicken lollipop and thoroughly enjoying the flavor. He said it is delicious. He also loves the garlic naan bread. It’s fluffy, and not overly chewy like a lot of other places.
Biriyani is stuffed to the brim- portions are so good- Big Bang for the buck. The rice is not mushy like a lot of other places or overly heavy on spice. Usually you eat two bites and you are done, but this has flavor and not only spice so I can eat more of it.
I luv dosas and butter chicken, and I love that the butter chicken isn’t overly heavy and actually has chicken in it.
This new places are awesome! We got to talk to the owners too and they are great people.
Definitely support local- they also deliver and have online ordering, so please avoid skip the dishes and support local DIRECTLY
