Amazing experience at Osaka in Lafayette!
We came for sushi and left completely impressed. The gyoza appetizer was the perfect start—crispy on the outside, tender and flavorful on the inside. You could tell it was freshly made and cooked just right.
As for the sushi—wow. Every roll was beautifully presented and packed with flavor. The fish was incredibly fresh, and the portions were generous. You can really taste the quality in every bite. The menu has a great variety, and everything we tried was delicious.
The atmosphere was relaxed and welcoming, and the service was fast and friendly without feeling rushed. Osaka is now one of our go-to spots in Lafayette for sushi—highly recommend if you’re craving something fresh and satisfying!

The food was delicious. The lunch bento box is the perfect amount to fill you up while letting you try a variety of what they offer. The kimchi was really good too. I’m not sure if our waitress had a lot of tables, but the service was a bit slow. If you’re on a short lunch break, you might want to plan for extra time. Otherwise, it’s definitely worth going to enjoy the food and atmosphere. A must-try for sure.

I loved their Bento Box lunch! The miso soup isn’t in the picture and comes with the lunch. We also ordered the egg rolls and the pan seared gyoza. Everything was so good. We will definitely return!

Amazing food and service here! Expansive menu and even a specials menu. The hotto roll was fantastic, the chefs rolls had a very thick fry on it, a little too much for me. Complimentary miso soup. Chicken katsu was great as well, and the fried cheesecake was really tasty!!

I absolutely LOVE Osaka. It’s not far from work and home, the quality of food and service is unparalleled by another Asian fusion restaurant. The owners are from Korea and Vietnam and share their love of the cuisine in the best way. I 100% recommend!

I want to start with the positive. The sushi tasted fresh and the rolls were well prepared. We entered the restaurant and there was only one other party of 3 who were finishing their meals. That table had thier waiter and we had our own for our party of 3. A hostess, chef, maybe manager and 2 wait staff were working front of house. Everything we asked of our waiter took forever. It took forever to get our waters, extra wasabi, saki, beverages and check. The sushi chef even had to holler at our waiter to deliver our check. I dont understand how things could have been so delayed when we were the waiters only customers and for most of our dining expierence the only table in the whole restaurant. I myself ordered the fatty tuna, my table had to listen to the wait staff loudly remark about it. Saying thing like most people dont know what their ordering and that we will still have to pay for it if I dont like it, among other things. Having worked in restaurants before, I find it highly rude to be having this conversation loudly and in an empty restaurant. To top it all off I was not served fatty tuna but regular tuna. Fatty tuna happens to be my favorite so I know what it should look like and taste raw. The tuna served to me was dark pink like normal tuna. Fatty tuna is much lighter pink in coloring and has varying white striping in it (white being the fat). My friend and I decided to order mixed cocktails. One of their mixed coffee cocktails on the menu. We explained we would be ordering mine without the king cake simple syrup because I have an allergy to cinnamon. The cocktails took forever to make while the waiters both gossiped loudly while making the drinks. Our waiter asked the other waiter about whether or not he needed to refrigerate the bottle he just opened and she responded I dont know, so just leave it out I guess. When we got our drinks we made sure to ask which one had the simple syrup and which didnt. He told us that he gave us the right ones. I admit that I didnt have much faith so I had my friend sample both drinks to be sure. It was a good thing I did because the drinks were intact swapped and had I drank mine I would have had an allergic reaction. After finishing our dining expierence it was very clear to us while the restaurant was empty on a friday night.

I’ve been here several times and the food has been fantastic each time. I got the house hot sake, which was wonderful as always. Needless to say I’ll be eating here again and recommend others give it a shot as well.

Loved the atmosphere. Loved the miso soup. It was really good. They have great daily specials and the drink menu is pretty impressive for a sushi joint. The rolls are just ok. Had the energy roll and enjoyed it. Everything else was just too much. The service is great! I would still recommend it and still want to try the hibachi.

Love the food, the portion size for the appetizers and entrees are small though. Just a heads up if you eat alot, be prepared to spend at least $35 per person.
