Hazel Hill exceeded every expectation and delivered one of the most memorable dining experiences we’ve had. Even on a busy weekend, the staff was exceptionally attentive, warm, and truly caring. They checked in frequently, remembered my son’s birthday, and even kept track of his dietary restrictions without us having to remind them—a level of service that’s rare anywhere.
The food was outstanding across the board. We tried most of the menu, and every dish impressed. The burger was incredible, the tuna tartare was vibrant and perfectly balanced, the truffle pasta was absolutely worth it, and the wagyu center cut loin was rich, tender, and beautifully prepared. Dish after dish was consistently delicious.
I wouldn’t put too much weight on ratings or reviews you might see elsewhere—Hazel Hill far surpassed our expectations in every dimension. This is a restaurant that delivers excellence in both cuisine and hospitality.

Such a delight! The food is wonderful and their service is spot-on, just perfect! Yes, it’s expensive but they more than live up to expectations and delivery a fabulous meal experience! Cocktails have a snazzy little extra magic, every dish looks and tastes amazing, the setting is gorgeous, surrounded by vineyards and huge old oaks. Plus beautiful Christmas decorations! Definitely check it out if you can and lunc is a great option for a bit less expensive and less fancy options (like a burger)

The food was exceptional, the atmosphere elegant yet comfortable, and the service flawless. Our server, Sophia, was truly incredible — attentive, kind, and clearly passionate about what she does. Wow just wow. The view while having cocktails on the patio, the chef’s counter eating dinner, amazing service and the food!!! The Chef’s signature dish is a Dungeness crab spicy garlic sauce over noodles was a top 10 dish for both of us. Go even if just for cocktails and apps, this is such an incredible place. The setting is nothing short of breathtaking. A large, grand wedding was taking place during our dinner which provided quite the entertainment, including a violinists perched high in the vineyard. The restaurant is designed to maximize the natural beauty the environment, it is so well-done —in concert within the surroundings; expansive windows offering panoramic views of the rolling vineyards and oak-studded hills.
The service was exemplary, reflecting the high standards of the Montage brand. Rolando went above and beyond, and Sophia and complementary servers were impeccable! The staff is knowledgeable, attentive, and genuinely passionate. The pacing of the meal was perfect. The food celebrated the local bounty and the menu showcased the finest local ingredients. Hazel Hill Montage is more than just a restaurant—it’s an experience and destination. The combination of exquisite food, outstanding service, and the enchanting setting makes it an unmatched gem in our region. We plan to go back as soon as our schedule allows and as often as possible!

This place is incredible!! Wonderful food, excellent service (ask for Sophia) and just a great vibe overall. The setting is gorgeous and the mid-century modern design of the resort really adds a level of class that you instantly appreciate upon arrival. The food, cocktails and wine are all top-notch, as you would expect from a Montage property. Highly recommended!

Maybe our expectations were too high because it’s in a Montage but our waiter was as flat and lacking spark as a person can be. We asked how they make their espresso martini and he didn’t know, which was fine because he asked the bartender but the pour was very small. We had the Cesar salad which was good but on the smaller side. We shared a burger which again was good, but nothing outstanding in anyway and again, we felt should have been larger. Of course the setting is gorgeous but overall we felt the experience was overpriced and lackluster.

Exceptionally great setting ( outside seating) with the view of the vineyards and mountains. Our server made excellent recommendations and provided great service. Few vegetarian options, the pasta with mushrooms was excellent, but the dish with the Amaranth seeds was terrible with no taste or flavor. This should be taken off the menu.
