I was looking for a small bite to eat, and the restaurants in the nearby area were packed and had a long waiting time. I decided to come in and see if they have a few light things to eat. I was very surprised with the menu. My daughter got the bread and butter. It was delicious. I got the grilled cheese. It came with a little salad and the truffle on the grilled cheese made it phenomenal. I also ordered a Moscow mule and it came out delicious. The staff is very friendly and kind and attentive.

I had an okay experience here.

I got the caviar chips and dip, along with the lobster roll. I will say, the lobster roll was overly salty, and it seems like they use Lays potato chips as a side. The salad was nice and had some cherry tomatoes and red onion. I would have liked to have seen house-made chips, given the area and price.

However, my friend said her truffle steak sandwich was fantastic and had no complaints.

Went here for a birthday brunch. *I will say I messaged them to do something special for the birthday girl but got no response—I’ll try to not let that color my commentary* I thought the place was cute, simple, modern, minimalistic chic. It def looked like a place I’d want to be seen at. The service was pretty good too.
What I loved: $25 bottomless mimosas with a pretty generous pour and my cheese grits
What was acceptable: My lobster benny…the lobster tasted pretty fresh but felt like it was missing some flavor. But overall I enjoyed the dish well enough (3.5/5)
What I didn’t like: The dessert. For it to be a place that supposedly got its name from France, i expected more from the desserts. Honestly, it was quite disappointing.

I’d go back again for the mimosas or to try their seasonal cocktails and maybe some small bites.

I’ve passed by this spot so many times and finally decided to stop in—and I’m glad I did. What I thought was just drinks and small plates turned out to be so much more: a full menu, a great happy hour, and even a hidden backroom with live entertainment and what I found out was they also have jazz on Sundays. I tried a drink and oysters this time—both were excellent. The oysters were super fresh, and the bartender was friendly and made drinks custom to our taste. Great vibe, great service—I’ll definitely be back to try more food!

My Husband and I recently visited Bouzy for what was supposed to be a very enjoyable date night. Unfortunately we must have picked the wrong day to visit the establishment. Our reservation was at 6:30p. By 8p we had not received our entree. Just to receive an appetizer(bread/butter) and 2 cocktail drinks from the bar that took almost 40 minutes. But we were trying to be patient. We were aware of a separate event taking place. But eventually we felt it was time to leave. I would have given the restaurant experience 1 star but I am giving it a 2 because of our server, I believe her name was Madison. She was the only part of the experience I enjoyed. Super sweet and informative. And she completely understood why we wanted to leave and expressed her apologies on behalf of the establishment. I loved that she took accountability and said the service wasn’t up to the normal standard. She even took care of our bill. So because of that maybe in the near future..We will give it another try.

Very nice place to have a drink and relax. Riley the bartender was great and so was the drinks he made. The only thing was not a but variety for food options. But the food I did eat was great.

I have not one single bad thing to say about this place. It is in my top 3 favorite bars, and I try to go once a week. The staff is very friendly, even the kitchen staff, who do not have to acknowledge customers. The drinks ive had are all amazing, and my bartender, Riley, is so nice and happy to see me and my friend each time, (and a guests if we bring one) as well as more than happy to make us some concoction that fits our request. The atmostphere is amazing, the staff is great, and they have a good menu.

after reading other reviews, I am appalled, there is no smell whatsoever, and the staff is great, and someone complained that the faucet being silver was so horrible because everything else is gold.

The food is also very good, they are very knowledgable regarding drink/liqor choices as well as allergens in their food. They have many gluten friendly options, and a great happy hour. I went outside of my comfort zone and tried some new foods. I was very pleased. I recommend the burrata steak, the steak sandwich and the carpaccio. This place is genuinely a 10/10, good food, good drinks, always feel welcomed, and its always extremely clean.

This place was recommend to my by my friend who is local. The place is offering contemporary cuisine, it has nice atmosphere. It has live dj playing, but also has a quiter section if you would like to have more relaxed settings and have a conversation.
We have ordered a bunch of appetizers, and everything was very tasty. Notably burrana and lobster mac and cheese.
Desserts were good too.

Bouzy in the heart of Hyde Park offers an engaging experience with a mix of lively ambiance and intimate settings, making it a versatile spot for various occasions. During my visit last month, I appreciated the restaurant’s fun vibe, especially the busy and loud front room contrasted by the more hidden and intimate back room, perfect for a date night or a birthday celebration with a larger party.

While the atmosphere and the cocktails were top-notch, the food did not quite meet my high expectations, which is why I’m giving Bouzy 4 stars. My girlfriend, who had dined at Bouzy before, had a cold salmon dish on her first visit. We decided to give it another try, but unfortunately, another friend’s chicken dish was also served cold this time. Luckily, my salad with shrimp was fine, and the lobster roll was absolutely delicious!

Desserts were a highlight, rounding off the meal on a positive note. However, the issue with the cold dishes marred an otherwise enjoyable dining experience. Bouzy is certainly worth a visit for its cocktails, desserts, and vibrant atmosphere, but the food quality needs more consistency to earn a full 5 stars.

Bouzy was a spontaneous pick after walking and shopping around the area. The hostess was incredibly nice and showed us the back wine room where they host brunches—so cute! The restaurant is small, so it can get packed quickly, but we managed to snag a spot at the bar. With an open kitchen, you can watch the chefs at work. We thoroughly enjoyed everything we ordered, and the staff were great to chat with.

What was ordered: Cuban Bao Bun / Marinated Olives / Lobster Roll / Truffle Steak

Cuban Bao Bun = tasty little starters

Lobster Roll = good buttery taste

Truffle Steak = was good just a bit tough on the bite
