Daughter and I went there for dinner.
I’ve been going there for 30 years. It’s steadily gone downhill over the last 20.
Worst barbecue I’ve had ever. Portions were incredibly small. Brisket was 40% fat and tough. Total bill was $55 for two people.
We left and ate at McDonald’s.

I hadn’t eaten here in a while and today was a real letdown. The ribs had to have the top layer removed so it could be eaten, a little over cooked. The brisket was chewy and not your normal. Everything else was good. Not complaining just letting you know. Next time may be better just an off day

We try to come here on Friday or Saturday evening b/c that is their steak nights. And let me tell you that this is hands down the best steak you can find and at a very reasonable price. The steak are cooked over an open wood grill and the meat they serve is better than you can find in any of the big city chain restaurants. My friends rave about the barbecue also but I always get their ribeye.
A family owned restaurant that works hard to please their customers. Try them, I guarantee you will love it!

The ribs were old and stale, they had been reheated so much they were dried out and burnt up. Blah
Small servings also. You can get twice as much food at dinks am for the same price and it’s much better.

Dirty and Dusty NEEDS TO BE CLEANED! The Ceiling has dust and grim hanging in strands over the tables! Food was okay, nothing Impressing about it, specially for the Prices and the Service was Horrid! Couldn’t get refills, plus you could tell who was local and who wasn’t! We won’t be back, specially since the locals and the Waitress was making fun and talking trash on people who aren’t from that area! Considering we were from outta town, that was rude and uncalled for.

Stopped in today and was not disappointed. They smoke their meats on-site and the flavor is delicious. This reminds me of the kind of BBQ you used to find in most small towns across Oklahoma back in the ’90s. Friendly staff, delicious sides, and amazing BBQ.

Great BBQ!!! Nice smoky flavor and a healthy portion on the sandwich. It was my first time having cowboy beans. I had the Frito pie. Piled high with pork and my new friend – cowboy beans. Fast friendly service. The mild BBQ sauce was a little too sweet for me.

We went there to eat after visting the Pioneer Woman’s place. The place was very rustic and authentic of the old west. The food was fabulous. I had a slab of ribs. The ribs had a very good flavor and was cooked with real hickory logs. My only issue was the need to let the ribs stay on the smoker another hour or so. Great tasting spare ribs…however they were a bit tough. A little more time in the smoker and they will have a great product.
The wait staff was friendly and top-notch. I will be going back on my next trip to Pawhuska.
