I’d heard great reviews of this restaurant including must visit when on Isla Mujeres. We planned it for our final night, a blustery night at that. Initially we were seated downstairs stairs awaiting our table above, had to wipe our seats dry with our napkins before being seated. Shortly afterwards we were escorted to the second level in a corner for 4 with nothing more than a black tablecloth. A real lack of atmosphere or attention to detail was felt. The ordering seemed swift/hurried. Was told I could select a couple of lobster tails but only one was brought out “this is yours”. The appetizers were brought out and we felt rushed, clear out the plates asap seemed the priority. The mains were good but nothing exceptional. Based on the price didn’t feel the value for the money. Never said hello or was acknowledged by Sergio or his wife who seemed more intent on sitting downstairs with a couple inside. Asked for a cab but ended up flagging one down ourselves. Definitely some work required to live up to the standards of a quality restaurant.

Came here for my 50th birthday…Don’t judge a book by its cover, and don’t judge this restaurant by its entrance. At first glance it is nothing special, but once you are inside you realize it’s a very cozy and quaint restaurant. The appetizers we ordered were all great. We got both the house shrimp and tempura, the caprese salad, bacon wrapped jalapeno and mussels. For dinner we had the Snapper fillet with pasta, two large lobster tails and BBQ ribs. Everything was delicious and reasonably priced. Our server Ponce was excellent, he was very attentive to us and was always close. We had a great time for my 50th birthday

How lucky am I to live a 5 minute walk to Limo’n in Isla Mujeres?
The staff is always so positively accommodating with service and attitude, the food has never missed the mark as evidenced in these photos again last night with a friend from Switzerland, the upper patio seating is like being in a Caribbean treehouse. So good.
I will never tire of Limo’n.

Warm old school hospitality that is hard to find. We felt welcomed and appreciated from the moment we arrived until the last moment before leaving. Food was amazing! We had the giant lobster tail prepared two ways, the tempura vegetables and the avocado tower. Portions were huge! Our eyes were definitely bigger than our stomachs as we had to take a large part of the lobster back to the resort with us. Everything was absolutely delicious! The owner took time to greet and chat with guests both new and familiar. We quickly felt a part of the family there. They even offered to call a cab for us. The small intimate space was connected to nature yet we felt protected from the elements with plenty of space between tables. Absolutely love this place and the people who make it so special!!! Hope to revisit before we leave the island.

This is hands-down one of our favorite restaurants on Isla Mujeres! The food is simply outstanding—elevated, flavorful, and made with so much care. But what truly sets this place apart is the warm, welcoming atmosphere. Sergio treats everyone like family, always making time to chat and ensure you’re having the best experience. The staff is beyond accommodating and makes you feel at home every single time. Coming here isn’t just a meal; it’s a tradition. Can’t wait to return!

The food was delicious. But a bit overpriced in my opinion. I had the cheese sauce noodles, which was a great Alfredo of sorts.
Our group pre called for 4 of the lobsters. We were expecting to pay around 1500 pesos for a lobster meal. Upon arrival, it was unfortunate that the only lobster option was 650 grams for 1900. This was not what we had planned for budget. But felt we couldn’t say no since we were counted for the lobster. I normally would never pay that price for that meal.
For an upscale restaurant, it’s unfortunate that credit cards are not accepted. We felt embarrassed sitting there counting our pesos in the wind, especially since the meal was a lot more expensive than planned.
For a nice place – I was shocked that water is served just as the bottle, without a glass to pour it in.
I’m conflicted on the value of the meal compared to the experience. I regret ordering the lobster – the most expensive meal I have ever had, not worth it.

Cool atmosphere. Food was underwhelming and expensive. The wait staff hid behind a tree on there phone while we ate… it was very awkward the food was bland which is sad because the restaurant and its location has great potential.

Great spot for good food! Our waiter was also AMAZING!!! He was very attentive and sweet. Chocolate martini was amazing. Bacon wrapped Jalapeño poppers — great. Steak was good. Had vanilla ice cream and a brownie for dessert and it was delicious.

I loved our dinner date here! It was beyond wonderful from the welcoming in, holding my hand to ensure we walked up the stairs with out any problems since I was in heels. They treated us to a beautiful table upstairs under a tree and gave my fiancé extra fans to make sure he did not get hot. The manager was one of the waiter was wonderful. The food was amazing and I can’t wait to go back.
