I enjoyed my experienced at JamaGrille. My waitress Nasha is very attentive and pleasant. The food is wonderful, there’s a new chef and I ordered the snapper with shrimp and rice and peas with sweet plantain and the catfish taco as an appetizer which was delicious. The drinks were fantastic as well. When you come to JamaGrille please make sure to request Nasha. You will not be disappointed!

This was a terrible experience. I ordered barbecue chicken and what I received was completely burned, extremely dark, dry, and inedible. It tasted bitter and looked like it had been forgotten on the grill far too long. Serving food in this condition is careless and unacceptable.
I paid for a proper meal and instead got something that belonged in the trash. This shows a serious lack of quality control and respect for customers. I will not be returning, and I do not recommend this place to anyone unless they improve their food and standards immediately.

The food and the vibes were cool. The bartender was cool as well, sorry I didn’t get her name. The birria oxtails were a little soggy, but great flavor! My jerk burger was good, but it was a burger patty, which was disappointing. My main issues were, being charged auto 20% gratuity for two people sitting at the bar! I always tip well, I hate the forcing of it though! Secondly, 4 shots cost $52!! Absurd!! So I probably would get take out, but wouldn’t hang out/dine in there again.

Let me put you on to a true island treasure. This Jamaican restaurant is as authentic as it gets, with flavors that make you feel like you’re right in Jamaica. As a born Jamaica I’m not a fan of Jamaican restaurants as they cheat you on flavor but not Jamagrille. Found this place after scrolling trying to find a restaurant. The jerk chicken has that slow-smoked depth with the perfect heat balance—crispy on the outside, juicy on the inside done on their grill outside. The appetizer platter seasoned to perfection, with gravy that’s perfect for soaking up with the fluffy rice and peas.. Every plate is a celebration of Jamaican culture and cuisine. The drinks were top notch. The Rasta posts was so good.
If you want island flavor done right, this is where you go for real food, real spice, and music. I’ll be back very often
I post a few of what we had

The food at this Jamaican restaurant is simply brutal. From the moment you enter, the smell of spices and coal already whets your appetite. I ordered jerk chicken with rice and peas and it was perfectly seasoned: spicy on point, juicy inside and with that authentic smoky flavor that is not easy to get.
The rice was loose, with well balanced coconut, and the beans full of flavor. I also tried the ripe bananas and they were sweet, golden and fresh. The portions are generous, one of those that come out full and happy.
The service was fast and very friendly, they make you feel at home. You can tell that they cook with tradition and heart. Without a doubt, a place I would return to again and again if I want real Caribbean food.

Went on a whim on the way out and enjoyed my mules and my chili glaze lamb chops! I wish I could remember my bartenders name but she was super nice and attentive. I’m from Atlanta and it reminded me of one of my old favorites that closed a while back. Don’t go in acting or thinking you’re at Nobu or something. Come for the music, the good drinks, and some hearty, hot food. I’ll definitely go again when I’m back in Jersey.

Food was great, service was even better.. Naisha (sorry if I spelled your name wrong) was amazing!! Very personable and down to earth, AND makes amazing drinks. I’d only want her as my server when I do come back! My group and I were very pleased and satisfied with our overall experience!

Food/Drinks: The food was good. The highlight of the meal was the appetizer Salmon Burger! Those were FIIYYYAAAA! The mac n’ cheese could use more flavor but for the most part everything was very flavorful. The drinks were sweet but they modified it how ever you wanted.
Ambiance: There is a downstairs/lounge and they have events which is cool! I love that it is so spacious. It also clean and the music is such a VIBE!!
Service: Service was good and they were very helpful when choosing different items on the menu. They were personable and even the chef came to discuss some issues with my order and was courteous enough to explain what changes could be made.

I went out of my way to support this Black-owned business and was really disappointed by the experience. The restaurant was listed as opening at 1:00 PM on Saturday, so I arrived a few minutes early and waited in the parking lot along with several other customers.
Fifteen minutes after the posted opening time, the restaurant was still closed. A woman who appeared to be an employee was also outside and said the location was supposed to be open, asked us to give her a minute, and then never returned. No explanation, no update, and the restaurant never opened while we waited there.
Supporting Black-owned businesses matters to me, which is why this was especially frustrating. Accurate hours and basic communication are important, and unfortunately this visit fell short.
