ok so this place was not that tasteful compared to other dining halls although their drinks are not watered down. one good thing was that i did not get food poisoning from it even though having sushi. overall not good get something else if there is the option and the redeeming factors are that its a buffet and not watered down drinks.

Today I woke up feeling ravished and ready for my usual 9:50-10 AM breakfast at 63 South. As I get to the door I am greeted by a lady who is shocked that I opened the manual door, she tells me their automatic door isn’t working meaning they can’t serve food for the next hour at least. I fail to see a connection between the door and food, I have had my breakfast at 63 since I started the semester, I thought they would NEVER fail me. I pay too much money for the meal plan and to only be able to use it on their time is disappointing to say the least. Do better.

Their meal plan ain’t bad at all. Incredibly close to dorms, which makes getting food convenient.

Said food isn’t terrible, and staff are quite nice (for the most part). I wouldn’t call it gourmet by any means… however, they’ve got a decent selection of options, and you can grab as much as you’d like.

However, maintenance is poor, with some machines remaining broken for weeks at a time. While the options are decent, day to day they’re quite similar- I find that their across campus sister, Knightro’s, has more variety in their offering even if they are fewer in number.

There’s also a big gap between the best employees and the worst employees. Often, you’ll be asked to repeat your order- which isn’t a big deal, but can become grating on the 3rd time. The worst of it can be maddening- but again, could be worse.

Recommendations: Burger, Fries, Salmon, Chicken Parm, Pasta, Potatoes, Pastries

One last note- Avoid the unlimited meal plan, it’s a trap designed to have you spend 1k extra and force you to eat there more. Instead, I’d recommend the Any 10 Meal Plan- which comes with 400 dining dollars as well (The any 14 is MORE expensive and you get LESS dining dollars. Yuck)

Fairly good place for students. The selection is decent and it’s good to stop by. I went for breakfast. It’s fairly crowded and then in the summer they were closed when I tried to go. Waffles are good and the have an omelette station.

super dry sausage that came out after 30 min of sitting there. They didn’t have a toaster, they didn’t have a waffle maker, the ice cream machine is still broken. horrible

Came here for a camp for two summers, and ate here for a week. Decent amount of food options to choose from, tasted pretty good, but be careful of the utensils and plates if you’re going to eat here, there are visible stains and gross marks all over them like they weren’t washed well. I’ve had an upset stomach because of that. Employees are nice

Went here while visiting UCF. The food was like school cafeteria food quality. The pizza was bland and under cooked. The burgers were frozen patty’s and the other meal options didn’t look appealing.

Could be a little cleaner. The service workers were nice but need to be educated about gloves and cross contamination. For example: you cannot have on the same gloves and prepare sandwiches touching different meats such as pork for those who do not eat it and grabbing other meats and toppings and utilizing the same knife to cut. That goes for vegetarians or vegans as well. Either wipe or use a different knife and different gloves are supposed to be used. Gloves should not be still donned between patrons, they need to be removed immediately afterwards. I observed a person cleaning, fixing their glasses and touching on their clothes with gloves and then proceeded to help a patron with the same gloves on. I did address the worker about it in a diplomatic way and I hope that they realize that gloves are protecting them but not the customer—especially when it’s not utilized properly. I ended up tossing my food.

A good variety of options is present. Also, the taste of food is good. A lot of options if looking for low carb. The place can be busy around noon but is slower after that. $9 can be a little pricey for the quality but again you pay for the on-campus convenience. Spread is also significantly better on special days like Halloween celebration etc. Keep an eye on their Facebook page. Also, anyone can eat here by paying upfront, you don’t need to be a student.

For a dining hall location on UCF the price is fair, the food is fair and the atmosphere is okay. The staff are super friendly and nice and there is plenty of dietary options available for people as a whole. Overall the food could use some work but it is not the worst of the worst. Definitely check to make sure some proteins are cooked fully as students are the ones cooking and distributing the food as well. I recommend if you are a first year UCF student having a meal plan to check out this location at least once.
