If you come here come for the ice cream. Food is, okay at best but the malts and ice cream are out of this world with an old nostalgia from the 50s drive in since they have not changed any. You pull in. They come to your car to take your order and you pay there. Bring cash.

I tried the Coney dog and was disappointed, it was rather tasteless. The pizza burger was just okay. The chocolate malt was great! Waitress comes to the car to take your order, and brings it to the car. The food came pretty quick.

Drove 2 and a half hours just to come eat here from Bellevue, NE and they closed an hour early and would NOT serve food. I pulled up at 8:50pm and this teen girl comes out and we asked if the dining rooms open. She says no were closing in like 20min. We thought, okay, we’ll we can order and eat in the car. When she comes to take our order she tells us sorry but we can’t serve food tonight because we are closing in like 20min. Here I was hungry as heck because I saved my appetite to eat here and we were 2 and a half hours from home. We had to turn around and find somewhere else to eat on a Friday night. This is ridiculous and if you want to close early then you should change your hours. Your hours sign hanging on the window said 10pm and so does Google. I was very disappointed and would never come back! We took our business to the Tastee Inn and Out in Sioux City, oh and I always tip really good, cash, your loss

A beef sandwich is a “tavern” which, in turn, is a loose meat burger. If you didn’t know before (like me), now you do. Mildly flavored with diced onion.

I make sure I have a tastee here every time when I am in Yankton. Friendly staff. Delicious food. Order from your car or walk in. Always a good time. Also, check out the shining star above the sign! It is a piece of Yankton’s history.

It took well over 30 minutes for a couple tastee burgers, they forgot my fries, ordered cheese balls and they didn’t even fill the little bag they come in half way and it was about $7. I paid extra for cheese on my tastees and didn’t get it. I ordered 2 malts a.d they were almost completely melted by the time I got them. I’m definitely never doing dinner here again. The tastees were soaked in grease. My server was excellent though.

Went there at 8:45. Doors locked. Walk around to the side area and nobody would even take my order. This place used to be a great place to eat but apparently it’s not anymore
