I love that the cafe stays open until 11 pm. It is a life saver for people that need to work late, studying students, or finding something chill to do late at night on a weekend. Their atmosphere so late at night also beats Seattle’s famous seasonal depression.

They have DECAF coffee and my favorite is the decaf cappuccino. For matcha, they use high quality ceremonial grade matcha from Japan and are generous in the strength they put in their lattes. I would say the quality and matcha flavor is on par with Nana’s green tea in Bellevue and it is not a presweetened mix that has sugar mixed into the matcha powder.

Their souffle’ pancakes are my absolute favorite here (and rare to find on the Eastside). I do encourage to order ahead for the soufflés since it is in high demand but most of the time I’ve been able to get one on the spot! I’ve tried every flavor of Souffle pancake and highly recommend the creme brûlée or tiramisu flavor. It is NOT TOO SWEET and very much shareable size.

The nicest thing about this local business is their customer service. Once, while the baristas were very busy, I was accidentally handed the wrong milk kind of latte and before I even drank a sip the barista realized herself and quickly came to apologize, remake the drink, and gave me an onigiri to snack on while I waited. I’ve also noticed that when a customer is seated for studying or chatting, the baristas come to deliver drinks and food to the table so you don’t have to get up! Through supporting this local business, I’ve come to see a lot of the regular staff and the managers. They take their time to chat with customers they’ve only met for the first time and ask how everything is. I love the personal connection, the food, and how any feedback is constantly being incorporated!

I decided to give The Screaming Parrots a try and I’m so glad I did! Everything on the menu looked so appetizing that it was hard to choose.

I ordered a Dancong oolong latte, a salmon crepe, and a basque mango cheesecake. The drink menu is impressive, they have real tea options like Pu Er, Dancong, osmanthus and Da Pai Hong, not just the usual milk teas. My oolong latte was fragrant and smooth, and the tea flavor really lingered in a nice way. If you like Molly Tea, you should give their tea a try.

The salmon crepe was delicious and a good portion, every bite had plenty of salmon and avocado. The basque cheesecake was also tasty, though I wish the mango and cheese flavors were a little stronger.

The cafe itself is cozy with a relaxed vibe. I’ll definitely be coming back to try more items next time!

Delicious drinks and food, cute and cozy cafe – great for a weekend date!

Came here on a weekend morning with my husband and baby. We parked in the lot nearby. We brought our baby along and it was stroller accessible.

Service was very friendly! And the cafe was cute and clean! Really love the decor and aesthetic.

For drinks we got the banana pudding hojicha and strawberry matcha. Both were soo tasty and well balanced.

We also tried the creme brûlée soufflé and the butter mushroom crepe. The soufflé was one of the best we’ve had! And the crepe really hit the spot!

Love this cafe and definitely recommend it! We’ll be back for more drinks, soufflé and to try their other items!

The fluffy pancake remind me of Rikkuro’s Cheese cake. It is light and not too sweet. The matcha is also not too sweet but the quality is not that great, tastes like Japanese supermarket grade. The cafe is small but very cosy.

Update: Its really awesome this cafe values improvement. Thanks for taking the feedback and working on it! Tried the crepe this time and it was really good!

Great food and drinks, but inconsistent.

For instance the souffles sometimes are fluffy, large, and given 2 so are worth the high price. Other times they are flat and small and only served 1 pancake and feels like a complete rip off. Souffle pancakes are not easy to make correctly, and I am hoping to see this improve as this cafe matures.

I like this cafe, just needs to work on consistency and quality.

We stopped by Screaming Parrot Café in Redmond and had such a great experience from start to finish. We ordered the Tiramisu Soufflé and a regular Matcha Latte, and both really impressed us. The matcha was rich, smooth, and balanced perfectly. It wasn’t overly sweet, which we appreciated, and you can tell they use good quality matcha because the flavor came through clean and earthy.

We mainly came for the soufflé and it absolutely delivered. The Tiramisu Soufflé was light, airy, and had the perfect amount of sweetness without being overwhelming. It’s hard to find good soufflé on the Eastside, so we’re really glad this spot is close to us. The texture was amazing and it just melts in your mouth with every bite.

The café itself has a comfortable and inviting vibe, and the customer service was warm and friendly. The staff made us feel welcome. And if you’re wondering whether there are actually screaming parrots here, we didn’t see any lol.

Overall, we definitely recommend Screaming Parrot Café if you’re looking for a cozy spot with quality drinks, delicious soufflé, and great service. We’ll definitely be back!

First time writing a review lol. Me and my friend came to Redmond and saw this place, loved the name cause I’m obsessed with parrots . We tried the Pistachio crepe – sooo good, super thin and tasty. Beef Sausage crepe and Chocolate Lava Bakes were super solid, really worth it. But my fav was the Salmon Onigiri, the rice was so yummy. Totally recommend this place!

After trying the Screaming parrots cafe I can tell you that is been the best dessert and experience you can get anywhere else. The savory, sweet crepes, souffle pancakes even though the wait times are long its amazing reminds me of how I always had it back home if not better. The cheesecake basque is about the BEST, I can’t recommend enough. Weekends might have some wait times and lines but weekdays in my experience been much smoother and fsster service. Absolutely recommended!

“The screaming parrots” cafe is a nice place to have a light brunch, hang out with friends and relax and it is suitable for everyone. However, today I felt a bit disappointed and confused. I went and ordered a Strawberry Soufflé and a Strawberry Matcha latte.
To begin with, I understand that the main characteristic of a soufflé is that it should be fluffy. Mine was very fluffy and light, but it was undercooked. I really noticed a lot of raw parts. There was a table next to mine where they were eating the same strawberry soufflé, and I could see that theirs was firmer. I approached the waitress, gave her my feedback, and asked her why mine was like that. Although she explained the process of the plate, I was not satisfied with my food and I could not even finish it.
Also, I would like to suggest to the café that they serve the food on plates so that it has a better presentation to the audience. Finally, I agree with those who say some foods can be too sweet. It happened to me before with a strawberry pistachio and vanilla latte (even without asking for more sugar).
Overall, I love the variety that you can find here: they have creative dishes, and a lot of interesting combinations. I liked the music. The place is really cozy and perfect to study, yap with your friends or read a book. I highly recommend it, they are doing a great job for a new cafe.
Two weeks after, I went back and got surprised by the soufflé improvements!! I highly recommend it because it’s a cafe that care about people’s experiences, listen to their clients and make sure to get better. Don’t miss the opportunity to try it!
