A wonderful trip back in time to the old fashioned neighborhood Italian restaurant with red and white checkered tablecloth and Sinatra and family pictures lining the walls. We were seated in a very comfortable booth and smothered with excellent and friendly service throughout. Our meal began with a wonderful house salad served at the table, warm bread and an order of their garlic cheese bread. For mains we had a very good Chicken Parmegiana and a superbly done Veal Milanese topped with a perfectly prepared arugula salad. The veal was nicely breaded and pan fried to a perfect crispyness and taste. This has always been a favorite of mine and this version was among the very best that I have ever tried. We really enjoyed the neighborhood feel of this place along with the great history going all the way back to the 30’s. Looking forward to returning again and again.

I’ve been coming here since I was a kid. It is a neighborhood standby and it takes you back in time to the good old days of Frank Sinatra in the background, excellent drinks, and Italian fare that just tastes like a grandma home cooked the meal. The waiter Jo is always there with a welcoming smile and excellent service and if you’re lucky a great story he will share. I Love this place .

Amazing experience. The atmosphere is great, and the service is very friendly. Sometimes they play piano with some classic and romantic songs. We come here every year for our anniversary and Valentine’s. Highly recommended. Be sure to reserve early.

This was a very cute restuarant with a warm atmosphere. The minute I walked in, I knew this place was for me to celebrate my birthday. The waiters and staff were excellent. The women playing the piano was a professional. The pictures on the walls made me feel very comfortable in an old fashion Italian restaurant you don’t see today. I loved the red and white table cloths and the food was amazing. I will be back soon.

This is by far the best and most authentic Italian I have ever had. Old school feel, with live piano music. Felt like a mob hit could take place at any moment, just kidding. Top notch place, can’t wait to come back.

I just had dinner at GP’s in Guttenburg and was not impressed at all. Had a 7:15reservation and no one came to check us in and we were not seated Until 7:40 Waitress came got our drink order and then took our dinner order. We ordered an appetizer of clams oreganto and my friend and I both ordered one of the specials the salad that we had was good the waitress then proceeded to bring out our entrees When I asked what happened to our appetizer, she said oh sorry about that. I’ll bring that out and you can have it with your entrées. We said we didn’t want it with our entrées. We wanted it before the entrées. She said OK she took our entrées back, and we waited for the appetizers to come out after we finished. She bought our entrées back out, which must have just been put under a heat light mine was cold. I told the waitress she took it back and I guess they reheated it again by the time I got it back the second time everything on the plate was dried out and was not tasty . I would definitely not recommend this place we had coffee at the end and they took that off as complementary because of the mixup with the appetizers. The food was not really great either. I don’t know how this place 4 1/2 star rating will not be going back very disappointed
