at most restaurants food quality seems to go up and down…i don’t think it should but it seems to. I have eaten at The Wigglin’ Pig before and at least one time it was very good. I had decided that maybe it could be my go-to BBQ place. It has been one in Farmington NM when i went shop. So i had ribs yesterday, i had driven over there specifically to have ribs because i wanted them to be delicious…..well, unfortunately that wasn’t the case. At least 1/3 to 1/2 of each rib from the cut end was dry…VERY DRY…just smoked too long. maybe if you had chopped it up and put it in sauce and let it sit for a while it would improve…it was edible but not so enjoyable. The rest of the rib was very good and their BBQ sauce is very good. From my perspective, for that price, I am sure the cooks (and maybe server) would have seen the condition. I would think they would have picked another half rack. or…if they were running short discounted the ribs. Yes, i know that would be the way a truly quality establishment would handle things. At Wigglin’ they don’t ask how it was as you are paying, i find that telling of a food restaurant. Oh well, its all life and it happens way more often than not. Back to having Farmington as my BBQ place…on the rare occasions i drive down to shop.

One of the best meals I’ve had in a long time. Highly recommend the brisket grilled cheese.

We dropped in this evening for a bite to eat before continuing our journey over to Green River. It was pretty much unanimous that the offerings lacked flavor. I opted for a 3 meat 2 side. Consisting of brisket ribs( 3 bones) and pork belly as they were out of pulled pork. Ribs were tender, pork belly was lacking of any flavor as was the brisket. The slice of brisket was cut wrong which made it tough and a bit chewy.. Iam thinking whoever sliced it doesn’t realize the grain changes and just kept slicing from flat all the way through the point. Cant be for sure. Oh and this place was out of Gouda cheese. I almost got up to leave at that point.. joking. They were out but who in the hell eats Gouda cheese. While making good on my check I mentioned that the meats lacked any real smoke flavor. The Host told me the smoker was down and the cook put liquid smoke on the meat and cooked in the oven. When the charge for this plate is $25 one really expects to get wood smoked bbq, not liquid smoke. So in the end we chalked it up to a lesson learned and headed down the road I won’t suggest anyone stay away, but rather go try it for yourself and hopefully they have that smoker problem resolved. After paying the bill with tip I walked away a little under a $100 lighter and not impressed. I do however wish these folks all the best and perhaps in the future reduce the prices to reflect the poor quality. Had I known this was cooked in the oven I for sure would have passed.

Little BBQ joint with big flavor. The buffalo wings were cooked beautifully and the sauce, though not terribly hot, had great flavor. The fried mushrooms had a light and airy batter. The mac & cheese was creamy and the noodles had perfect texture. The brisket grilled cheese was aah-maz-zing!! Sweet potato tots, who does that?! They were sick! The ribs were dry but the sauce took care of that. The staff, a brother-sister duo, were friendly, attentive and knowledgeable. When we walked in and no one was there, we were a little scared and tempted to leave, but we were very glad we decided to stay.

The food was well cooked and had an amazing texture, still warm when it was brought out. Waitress was very nice, and welcoming at the door. Not many people inside but it was the middle of an afternoon, and the place was good vibes. Pricing was very reasonable. Absolutely recommend do anyone traveling or just a lunch and dinner.

Without a doubt, one of the worst meals I have ever been served. The ribs were burnt, Black, and so dry they were in edible. The brisket was in dry string 6 inches long. It didn’t even resemble brisket. The cheesy potatoes were a culinary disaster. I have no idea what they were trying to do there. It was home fries they were sitting in a puddle of burnt crispy melted cheese, Fold it over like an omelette. The coleslaw tasted looked and felt like it had been spooned out of a tub from Safeway. The location was terrible, the atmosphere on the inside was even worse. If I could’ve given this place zero stars I would have. $26 plus tip…

Everything was so good! My son had the chicken sandwich with fries, my husband had the thick cut BLT with beans, and I had the petunia slider and blue cow slider with coleslaw. I was definitely satisfied when I left!

**The Wiggling Pig is an absolute gem!** From the moment I walked in, I was impressed with the warm and welcoming atmosphere. The staff, especially our waitress Leah, were incredibly friendly and attentive. Leah was super awesome and went out of her way to make sure everything was perfect, making the experience even better.

Now, let’s talk about the food—specifically, the BBQ brisket sandwich. It was hands down one of the best BBQ sandwiches I’ve ever had! The brisket was tender and juicy, with just the right amount of smoky flavor that left me craving more. The BBQ sauce complemented the meat perfectly without overpowering it, and the sandwich was generously portioned. Each bite was a perfect balance of flavors and textures.

The sides were just as impressive. I had the coleslaw and baked beans, both of which were fresh and delicious. The coleslaw was crisp and tangy, a great contrast to the rich brisket, and the baked beans had a deep, smoky flavor that was out of this world.

Overall, the combination of amazing food, top-notch service (shoutout to Leah!), and a cozy atmosphere makes The Wiggling Pig a place I can’t recommend enough. Whether you’re a BBQ lover or just looking for a great meal, you won’t be disappointed. This is definitely a spot I’ll be returning to again and again!

Ordered ribs and sausage. Very good bark on ribs. Meat fall off the bone. Good smoke in sausage. Sides were really good, one side can feed two. Wife got the cheddar Mac. She said it’s one of better.
