The location is nice, the building and interior is nice. The presentation was excellent. Everything was hitting on all cylinders! I was excited.
The menu included frou frou items as I expected but much to my excitement they had standard faire too! Whoop!!!
The meals both looked awesome. But that’s when things derailed.
The potatos were dry – I don’t know how else to describe it. Weird and flavorless. The eggs were ok, hard to mess that up, but over all it was a let down. My fiance had a different experience, her eggs benedict were as she put it horrible she took two bites and we had to call it. We talked to the waitress and said she can’t finish this meal it’s terrible. The waitress got rather indignant and told us that she would take 30% off of our meal and it was much to do about getting her to drop my fiance’s meal entirely. I ate mine it wasn’t great but I was willing to pay for it no problem with that but you shouldn’t have to pay for something that was not edible.
There was so many things wrong with her meal it’s hard to explain. I am a huge potato eater and I only ate a quarter of mine because they were just not very good.
The service was subpar and food was not great. I don’t like giving out bad reviews but I wouldn’t go there again.
I ordered the:
Brisket & Cheddar Skillet – Potato, Slow Braised Beef Brisket, Green Onion, Salsa Verde, Aged White Cheddar and Fried Eggs.
Once I opened the container in my car, I immediately noticed over easy eggs, not fried. There were no green onions in the dish. The potatos were undercooked and very firm. The brisket was tender but not super flavorful and the salsa verde didn’t do much along the lines of lifting the taste. I only ate the brisket. (1.5/5)
I also ordered a half order of the House French Toast – Slowly soaked, Vanilla Bean Brioche French Toast w/real maple syrup.
The French Toast did not disappoint! I definitely tasted the vanilla bean and it was a delight to eat. I just feel $7.75 is steep for half a piece of bread and $14 for the full slice…meh. (4/5)
Overall, I would rate my experience a 3/5.
