Went back and got my burnt ends. Very flavorsome with just enough juicy fat to keep my coat shiny. Damn good.
The food… some of the best, if not the best bbq I have ever had!
I got the two meat platter. I got the brisket, pulled pork, and added a jalapeño cheddar sausage. I got two sides with it and I went with the corn pudding and mac and cheese! All made in house, of course. They also let me sample the pimento cheese! My travel buddy and co-worker, Jackson, got the burnt ends platter with the same sides.
The brisket was the perfect texture. So juicy and tender. The bark was peppery and perfect. I was lucky enough to get an end piece so I got to really get the full flavor of the bark. It was AMAZING. The pork had a really good smokey flavor and also had the perfect texture. The sausage had a good snap and the flavor was chef’s kiss. The corn pudding was recommended and I went with it. I am so glad I did. I knew it was gonna be good, but it exceeded my expectations. The mac and cheese tasted like I was hoping it would. The burnt ends were top tier. So tender, succulent, and all the other great adjectives you can think of. I tried all if their sauces, too. They have a great variety and you will find what you are looking for.
We went out to look at the smokers and they invited us in and gave us a quick tour! We got to see wings, brisket, and not pictured was the pork all on the smokers. Their smokers were so full and the smells were what I hope heaven smells like. So many briskets!!

I work nearby, so I’ve been going there about once a week. Every time I order something different from the menu, so at this point I’ve tried nearly everything. Safe to say, it’s all delicious! The meats on the menu are great, but every day they also have rotating specials. They’re all good, but some of my top favorites are the Feast Burger, Taco Tuesday, Dumpster Fire, and El Choppo Combo. Their burnt ends are also a favorite, they’re savory and tender, and practically melt in your mouth with barbecue goodness! The sides are tasty as well, I love cilantro and their cilantro slaw really hits the spot. The collard greens are equally as mouth-watering. They’re frequently sold out, but if you get the chance to try them, you’ll understand why!
The only thing better than the food here is the customer service. Everyone is very friendly, and quick to offer suggestions if you need them. Yes occasionally there’s a long line, but it moves quickly, and the food is definitely worth the wait. If you’re dining in, they follow up with you and make sure you enjoyed everything. They always make me feel well taken care of, and brighten my day! Good people work here! I’d like to give a shout out to Heather, Savannah, Chelsea, Mariah, and ESPECIALLY Candy. Looking forward to seeing y’all again soon!
I had the meat sweats platter, with collard greens and mac & cheese which is more than enough for two hungry people. They also offer tours of their smokehouse to anyone who’s interested.
As a Texas native, I appreciate the time and the passion they have for their craft and they execute it very well. Thank you for a great meal and we will see you next time.

The sides were just as impressive. The broccoli salad was a standout with its fresh, flavorful crunch, while the mac and cheese was rich, creamy, and indulgent. The fries and slaw were both well-executed, complementing the meats perfectly. One unique highlight was the smoked sour pickle, a massive, tangy bite with a bold salt and smoke blend unlike any pickle I’ve had before.
While the flavors were spot on, my only complaint was that the food wasn’t as hot as expected, which kept me from giving it a full five-star rating. That said, the quality, variety, and flavor make Redwood Smoke Shack a must-visit for BBQ lovers. I’ll definitely be returning!
