Made the Right Way. Every Day. There’s a reason our bagels taste different–they’re made the traditional way. At Manhattan Bagel, we give each bagel a dip in a kettle of boiling water, then bake them fresh each morning. That’s how we get our authentic shiny bagels with a crispy, golden crust on the outside and that soft, satisfying chew inside. No shortcuts. Just real, authentic bagels made the way they were always meant to be. We kettle-boil our bagels to lock in that shine and crunch, then bake them fresh daily for a chewy, golden bite. No shortcuts, just the classic NY method – done right, right here, every day.

Long overdue review! I’ve been coming to Manhattan Bagel for over 10 years and the quality has never changed, always consistent and delicious. My go-to is the steak, egg & cheese on a jalapeño cheddar bagel… chef’s kiss. I’ve tried other sandwiches too and they’re solid, but nothing tops grabbing my usual before a hike and taking a chicken salad croissant to go.
After coming back from a 5 month trip, my first stop was here. The owner’s warm smile, the kind staff, and how clean the place always is keeps me coming back. Manhattan Bagel will forever be a favorite. Highly recommend!

I visited this establishment after seeing its impressive ratings, and while my experience was positive, it didn’t quite meet my expectations. The atmosphere was pleasant and clean, and the service was efficient. I tried the spinach bacon croissant, which was decent, and the marble pound cake, which was also acceptable. The machine-brewed coffee was standard, but I did find it a bit disappointing that there were no specialty coffee options available. Overall, the prices seemed a bit elevated compared to the food offered.

I really like the bagels as I’m a native New Yorker. But I was really disappointed today when I got the nova lox sandwich. It was such a small amount of each ingredient: the salmon, the cream cheese was just a smear on the bagel, and there were only about three capers on each half with the red onions. And when I brought it to the attention of the cashier, she just couldn’t understand why I didn’t think that was enough. And she asked me if I asked for extra capers. I’m not used to having to ask for extra capers. Andthe sandwich was $999! The worst Nova lox I’ve ever gotten. And then it’s really annoying to me how the people behind the counter jump on you right away when you arrive before you even have a chance to look at anything. I told the first lady I needed a minute and then the second lady comes out staring at me. I won’t be going back…

The bagels are good, some are fluffy and some are dense and thin. But we need to petition for more cream cheese

Consistently great. Every time I come I think I’ll get something different, but I usually still end up eating something with everything bagels, because this is one of the few places that still have salt on them. Delicious. My other half loves the nova lox.
I also periodically get the boxes to go for the office. Generously packaged and their non-bagel pastries and other baked goods are also delicious.

My roommate got me an avo egg white croissant a few weeks ago & I really wanted one before class today so I tried to order it online and she told me “oh youre going to have to go inside to order but they’re fast it’s worth it.”
Y’all…..the ladies run this bagel shop like the NAVY. I sat down for one second and one of the women brought it to me like immediately.
10/10, everyone was very kind and fast and the croissant was everything I dreamed of lol go here instead of anywhere else for real

Went on a Saturday morning. Got my order in just in time before a line started forming. They’re busy but worth it. Ambience is modest, quant, and like a mom and pop kind of feel. Staff was nice, vegetarian so they accommodated my order of removing meat/bacon. Whoever takes your order at the counter comes to you with your order. After ordering you pay.
Bagels were delicious, idk what sauce they used but the avocado egg white was delicious on an everything bagel. I got the croissant with spinach egg and cheese. It was delicious, hot, fresh and tasty. Idk what that orange sauce was but so good! will be back!

I gave the atmosphere a four because it’s a bagel shop. Kind of hard to give a bagel shop a five.
Being in New Yorker, I was very impressed that these bagels tasted like they were from New York City

I found this place by accident and was glad I went. I had an Everything bagel, sliced and toasted with cream cheese, and I also got the Ellis Island Pastrami sandwich on an Everytjing bagel (it comes with a rye bagel, normally). Both were excellent. The bagels have a slight crisp on the outside, and the inside is appropriately chewy. I really liked that the Everything seasoning was on both the top and bottom halves of the bagel. Usually, most places only season the top, for some inexplicable reason. The Ellis Island pastrami sandwich had very good, lean pastrami, spicy mustard Swiss, and optional onion (which I got). It was delicious and I would’ve preferred some extra pastrami because it was so good. It was served with a side of macaroni salad and a pickle.
There’s indoor and outdoor seating. The staff was very nice, and the place was busy at 1030 am on a Tuesday with a steady stream of customers. Lots of coffee options, bottled drinks, and fountain drinks. Breakfast is served all day, which I really like. I’d definitely recommend this place, and I will be coming back when I’m in the area.
