Heard about this and went the same day. Really informative exhibits and very enjoyable museum. The gift store had quite a variety of cranberry products to check out. Didn’t eat at the cafe but did indulge in some cranberry ice creams. Happy we went!

It was a little confusing when we first walked in because there are multiple areas and they wanted to know where we wanted to go (and we needed to know what they had to offer – what our choices were). BTW: the basement is the museum area, the main floor has a gift shop (with everything cranberry) and a restaurant (with some food options and ice cream, including cranberry ice cream – which was good and definitely worth trying). It was interesting learning about cranberry production in Wisconsin (definitely learned a few things).

It’s all about cranberries: growing, harvesting, distributing, and eating. Lunch is served on the main floor and the Discovery Center is in the lower level. Charles was our private tour guide. He farmed cranberries so he knew the history, the equipment, and all the steps from planting to harvest to distribution. Lunch in the roomy cafe was chicken salad on wild rice cranberry bread, chips, a beverage, and cranberry ice cream. Yum! The Discovery Center also has a gift shop filled with all things cranberry.

They had major festival last weekend. On Wed 3 cars pulled into the museum parking lot at the same time Illinois,Nebraska, and Michigan (I believe) only to find a paper note on the door ” Sorry closed today”. Unbelievable and disappointed.
