One of my FAVORITE restaurants in Greenville that doesn’t get the hype it deserves. My son has requested this place 2 birthdays in a row. I have tried many dishes and have never been disappointed. The quality + portions are fair for the prices. A staple in my foodie rotation for sure!

We had the most incredibly gracious server tonight and she made us feel welcome instantly. She was helpful in selecting dishes and she took good care of us. The food was amazing! Layers of flavor in each dish, even something simple like rice and peas was so well done. The curry chicken and the jerk chicken popped with flavor. If they have it, don’t miss out on the house ginger drink. I like the strong and it is potent but delicious! All in all, a very pleasant meal experience for my wife and me!

Great food and great portions for the price as well. If you know African restaurants, you know the portions can be slim, especially the meat!! I did the jollof rice with stewed goat meat and it was very good with plenty of meat!

I will be back before the weekend.

The service was awesome and so was the food. The restaurant is an intimate space with a live DJ. The DJ came in around 3pm or 3:30pm. Let’s not forget the drinks. We were not disappointed. THE FOOD WAS AMAZING! Don’t wait until you are super hungry to go. Your food is made to order. So be prepared to enjoy the atmosphere while you wait on your meal.

This was by far the best African cuisine I have ever tasted. I came here because of the name of the business without looking at the menu. When I arrived, it was if crossed over the international waters with leaving the states. The bathroom was awful, it smelled, and the appearance and cleanliness were not up to par. I highly recommend a plug in air freshener for both bathrooms. Secondly, my waiter was overworked. On Sundays it needs to be at least two people serving customers. I came this first time, and I would gladly return, but I see only one person working the front counter. I guarantee I’m not ordering. Lastly, I ordered a beef patty to allow time for jerk lamb to cook. I ate the patty and did not receive my drink for at least another 15 minutes after ordering. My throat was very dry in the time in between.

We ordered via DoorDash so I cannot comment on the restaurant itself. However, the food was great! We got the Oxtail and Jerk Chicken and both were excellent, as were the rice and beans, jollof rice, and plantains. Definitely worth it!

Decided to visit this restaurant for the 3rd time due to craving Fufu and Egusi soup and didn’t want to take that drive to Atlanta. The customer service is awful so don’t except to receive a warm welcome or friendly interaction when asking questions regarding the menu. The Okra soup an Egusi soup wasn’t bad but wasn’t great either and skimmed on the meat portion. Fufu is not authentic pretty sure it’s mashed potatoes not the Fufu I’m used to tasting in Atlanta. We waited over an 1hr on our 3rd visit for our order to come out the waitress never came an check on us not one time or provide an update to why it was taking so long until I had to stop and asked her and her response was the Red Snapper was huge and still waiting for it to finished cooking I’m like there is no way fish takes this long to fry than she said they have uber/doordash orders they’re working on as well. After waiting an additional 15mins I advised her we were leaving an no longer wished to wait. They didn’t think to offer an appetizer or complimentary drink but expected us to just sit a continue to wait til the food was ready. Not to mention when we order it was only our table an another couple inside who was already eating. So why was it taking so long I assumed the DoorDash/uber orders was top priority.

Overall wonderful flavor and it brought me back to my experience studying abroad.

The service was wonderful. There were definitely some menu item names that I did not recognize, so it’s okay to ask questions. I told our waitress what kind of protein I wanted (chicken or beef) and let her decide for me. What a great decision! She brought me Curry Chicken served over white rice and it might be my new comfort food; it’s a different curry flavor than one might find in Indian or Thai dishes. My husband got the Oxtail dish, which was delicious as well. The Oxtail reminded me of BBQ ribs served over some red rice and beans. Both dishes were served with fried plantains and what I can best describe as a savory sauerkraut (cabbage, bell peppers, onions, and maybe some carrots).

I told our waitress that I was hesitant to order the goat dish; I didn’t care for goat when I tried it in another country. She brought me a sample of it. I loved the sauce flavor over rice, but it turns out goat meat is just not for me. However, it was very tender and I would recommend it to anyone who likes gyros or lamb.

True to African cuisine, most dishes have some bones, so parents and picky eaters be advised. My chicken had very few bones, but they were smaller so take your time.

We had the chicken suya, okra stew and jerk lamb today. All flavorful and vibrant. Both the chicken and lamb are high quality protein that’s cooked to perfection! Service was attentive and timely too. We’d always come back for more
