I didn’t go in wanting sugar
more of a protein hit after the gym
so i asked for the smoked salmon rye square
and the curried egg salad baguette slice
which are my go to’s at the Mox.
“How about a scone? I think you need
a sweet treat too,” said the kind barista
she had just baked them
and was exited about them
and how could i not be excited too
It is Valentine’s Day after all
They gave it to me in a see through plastic clamshell
(a paper bag is traditional for a scone to go)
and I didn’t experience the rich cocoa scent
until I broke the seal hours later at home
It was heart shaped and the pastry itself
not cloying sweet which I like
embedded with chocolate chips and dried cherries
it had a guazy pink pastel glaze
that pooled and dribbled off the top crust
so that given the ratios within a given bite
The sweetness is a trifle much

I can’t rave enough about this place. It was an excellent experience. The staff knew everything there was to know about the menu and the other offerings; they were kind and genuine; and most of all they made me feel welcome. The owner was extremely gracious and good with the staff. And the atmosphere is perfect for a date or study. It’s the perfect coffee shop.

I do not have enough amazing things to say about Moxie. Patrick and Ronna catered our wedding and made a menu from scratch for us. Our menu included chicken, tenderloin, salads, and a seafood pasta dish. Ronna designed and made a berry, chocolate, and white cake that was out of this world. I can EASILY say our food was the BEST WEDDING FOOD I’ve ever had. Not only was the food amazing, but Ronna and Patrick were so accommodating and kind. Any request I made, was met with a yes, no problem. We cannot thank Patrick and Ronna enough for all their hard work and brilliant food service. Thank you!

We enjoyed all our drinks but would especially recommend the chai and honey lattes.

Always on the hunt for exceptional espresso and found it here in Plymouth Wisconsin! They use Valentine Coffee Roasters out of Milwaukee and was quite excellent. No points for artwork but that’s ok! The vibe here was also cozy, a few themed rooms, did I mention this was an old bank? Yep, one room is in the old vault! Food looked delicious and unique. Loose leaf Rishi tea and also plus for the tea drinker. Rices quite reasonable – enjoy

I only got a coffee but it was great and this was the first time I stopped in here. I will definitely come back to try more though. Very cool place, very unique decor. Staff is friendly and helpful. They have a reading area, books provided! Great place to put the electronics down and enjoy another’s company or the pages of a good book!
