Great chicken shawarma wrap and convenient location. However I ordered for pickup at a certain time and while the rest of my party’s order was ready at that time, we had to wait an extra 15 mins for mine. The manager was very kind and generous about the situation.

What a delight. This place has some amazing wraps and plates for a good price. The service is super fast and the owners were welcoming and kind. I will definitely be coming back here. To start we got lentil soup as well as two kefta wraps and asked for a bit of hot sauce. Truly delicious.

Wally’s Café – A Flavor-Packed Layover in Lebanon (Without Leaving Costa Mesa)

We’re visiting from Florida, and let me tell you—we came hungry. I’m talking big eaters here: my husband and my son, who usually treat “serves 4” as a warm-up. But even they had to wave the white flag by the end of this meal.

We stopped by Wally’s Café, a small, tucked-away spot in Costa Mesa that looks unassuming from the outside but delivers a flavor experience that feels like you’ve taken a direct flight to Beirut—no passport required. It’s cozy, it’s casual, and it’s serving up serious flavor.

We ordered the chicken shawarma, beef shawarma, lamb kebab, lentil soup, salad, baklava, and the berry lemonade (because hydration should be delicious, too). Every single bite was a hit. The meat was seasoned with precision—juicy, flavorful, no shortcuts. The lentil soup was so good they offered us a free sample just to make sure we knew what we were getting into (spoiler: we ordered it immediately).

The rice? I don’t even know how to explain it. It was so fluffy it could’ve had its own bounce house. I’ve never had rice like that before—each grain was light and buttery, but still filling, like a magic trick in starch form. And the portions? Let’s just say we all ate like we were preparing for hibernation and still walked out with leftovers.

Now, let’s talk about that berry and lemonade drink. Divine. Nectar-of-the-angels kind of good. It was the perfect balance of tart and sweet, and it somehow tied the whole meal together like the final note in a song.

On top of it all, the team at Wally’s was so kind and welcoming. You can feel the love in the kitchen and in the customer service. This isn’t just food—it’s hospitality, culture, and comfort all in one.

Bottom line: If you’re in Costa Mesa (or within a 30-mile radius, honestly), do yourself a favor. Wally’s Café is a must. This place fed three grown adults with appetites like linebackers, and still gave us leftovers. That’s not just good food—that’s miraculous.

PS there was so much more food than in the picture , but I had to take the picture before they scarfed that down as well

Garbage food. Very disappointed. Saw an ad online and decided to try them. THIS IS NOT LEBANESE FOOD!! unauthentic, super dry, weird seasonings that aren’t Lebanese or even Middle eastern, low quality meats that tasted old. Live and learn to trust an online ad. And on top of that, prices are high. For a place that doesn’t have sit down, you’d assume they would have competitive pricing and offer great food since that’s the focus. What a shame! Full of regret!

I don’t normally post reviews but my god this place truly deserves the 5 stars it gets. Food was phenomenal, portions huge, and they even gave me a free soup! 100% will be back and hope these guys get their own restaurant space ASAP!

Just as good as the Wally’s in the Bay Area. Best falafel…it’s unmatched. The hummus, lentil soup, and baklava are absolutely delicious. If you like Lebanese food…try this place!

Came to visit Newport Beach with the family and noticed Wally’s cafe when looking for food. I thought to myself, is this the same Wally’s cafe from the Bay?! And man was I happy to see it is. Ordered my combo plate of beef and chicken shawarma. Rice and meat is delicious but It also comes with a garlic and tahini sauce that completes this meal and certifies it as top tier for me. The homemade Baklava and Baklava ice cream are must try.

We have come to love Wally’s Cafe So Cal edition! The food is excellent, and upon pick up you will be greeted with gratitude and smiles by R and J. They take care with each order; the food is prepared beautifully and the flavors are perfect. While the parking lot can be a little tight, just breathe and know that you are minutes away from a truly amazing meal. It’s worth it!

I ordered the family style last night and it was so much delicious food. Fed our party of 6 with plenty of leftovers for us to enjoy the next day. The husband and wife that run Wally’s were kind, generous, and communicative. We loved the pomegranate chicken, rice, hummus, lentil soup, and baklava. Even the salad was fresh, simple, and satisfying. We will definitely be back often.
