Absolute gem of a small diner. Counter service and a few small tables, original fixtures, friendly staff, and creative specials; its so tucked away if you blink driving by you’ll miss it.
The Greek hash and French toast we got were both fantastic and fun twists on traditional recipes. All of the sausage and sauces are made in house and delicious.
Absolutely worth the trip out from wicker park. Definitely will try to make it out again to try their other hashes.

After not visiting this location for a few years, I came in on a whim. I can tell that the new owner is amazing and has a passion for cooking. The food was amazing. I had planned to have my typical breakfast dish, but he read off the list of specials, and it was too tempting not to pick at least one. Fortunately, I did, and it was maybe the best sandwich I’ve ever tasted.

This place is a gem. Their corned beef isn’t salty at all. Goes well with their bed of hash. Do not sleep on their English muffin. First bite, you can totally tell it’s different. Grew up on Thomas Edison’s English Muffin and will have a tough time not comparing. It was perfectly and evenly toasted on both sides of each side of the muffin. Nice ASMR btw. It’s been around since the 1950’s like Moon’s Sandwich Shop. If you’re a fan of Moon’s, come check this place out. It’s a nice place to check out if you’re within the area. Can’t wait to come back.

Excellent tiny breakfast joint every neighborhood needs. When every patron leaving the place says to the owner “see you next week”, you know it’s a good place. A wide array of omelet dishes and pancakes are quite good. Parking can get tricky by late morning on Sundays. Few non-counter tables are only for two so it is not an ideal place for large parties. Nevertheless, a prefect breakfast place on weekends. Highly recommended.

We attended tonight’s Finer Diner and loved the experience. They were all very attentive and personable. Maybe the best dining experience I’ve ever had. All the courses were amazing. I hope it continues.

OMG this place is one of my favorite restaurants in the city. It feels like going to eat at your family’s home. We regularly drive out to eat breakfast here. The homemade food, cartoons regularly playing, and friendly atmosphere will make your soul feel better. Try the homemade meats (the longaniza and/or corned beef hash!!), one of their great specials, and don’t forget to add buddy cakes (their signature pancakes) to your order.

They closed for a week and a half and have not updated their online ordering at Toast, and have no message set up on their phone number. I only found out they were closed when I tried to pick up my order. The charge also went through on my card whose is now disputed.
The food is usually good,so very frustrating to see such an oversight on both no phone message set up and the Toast app left live.

Best corn beef hash in the area. The seasoning on the meat is incredible. You can taste the clove. I’d order a side of it any time I go there. The rib eye hash with fresh blue cheese is also incredible. Coffee is perfect. The owner and staff here are great. So much history here, I used to eat here 15 years ago. You can’t go wrong with anything at the Edgebrook. Support this wonderful local business. Great diner.

Left the diner around 855am. Food was pretty good but staff really drove down this review. They were demeaning and belittling to my wife and I in front of several other customers from the moment we walked in. You never know what people are going through or how their morning was. So to be greeted with the demeanor we did was extremely disappointing as we have been there many times before and had nothing but good experiences. Support small business but this one has lost it

Very cute place, fast service, the food was good, I loved the pancakes. Hash was a little bit undercooked and underseasoned but it was still good overall. Only complaint is, they need to clean the floors. Napkins, straws etc all on the floors.
