As I was leaving, I could clearly hear the manager lecturing the employee in a very condescending tone about how “DoorDash can’t go through the drive-thru.” Even if that rule is true, there’s no reason it couldn’t have been explained in a professional and courteous manner. Both the employee and I were civil—only the manager was disrespectful.
To the owner of this Burger King: your managers are the face of your store, and if this is how they represent you, you should be upset. A manager should be setting the standard for customer service, not dragging it down.

I couldn’t help but laugh out loud! I totally appreciated the honesty and could feel the frustration in their voice, likely dealing with an understaffed Sunday night. Instead of waiting, I decided to drive down the road to Dairy Queen.
