We ordered the mixed grill platter and it was phenomenal! The meat was seasoned and cooked to perfection and made me think of my time in the country of Turkey. I can’t wait to go back.

Not only was every dish I had delicious, but the staff went above and beyond! I brought flowers to celebrate a birthday and they offered a vase with water to keep them in during the meal. The chicken was tender and packed with flavor and the rice was like eating a cloud. I will definitely be back here to celebrate special occasions!

The welcoming atmosphere, the yummy Mediterranean scent left me walking out stuffed without feeling heavy or bloated. The eggplant lamb dish to the babaganus with bread that I ordered hit the lunch time spot! I’d eat here again next time I find myself in downtown Burlington Maine.

Chef Ali and Mr. Serkan thank you so much, me and my family went there and we loved it. All the food and drinks had the same taste like Turkey. I felt at home. Thank you, again.

I was in Burlington for work and finally had the chance to check out Kismet after reading so many great things. Let me just say, it did not disappoint!
I didn’t have a reservation but walked right in and was promptly seated (restaurant was about half full, so maybe I got lucky). Service was quick, friendly, and on point the entire time.
For starters, I went with the yogurt soup (Cacik in Turkish, similar to Matzoon soup in Armenian) and the Muhammara with lavas for dipping. Both were incredible…full of flavor, perfectly balanced, and honestly worth coming back for alone. Every bite was amazing!
As an Armenian, I couldn’t resist trying the Manti. Now, my mom makes it homemade, so the bar is very high, but this was pretty damn good! Definitely one of the better versions I’ve had outside of home. Hard to find Manti anywhere in the states, and shocking that it was here in Vermont!!
If you’re in Burlington, Kismet should be on your list. Great food, warm service, and an overall dining experience that leaves you already planning your next visit. I know when I’m back in town, I’ll be there again!

Absolutely excellent. We went for my dad’s birthday, and the entire experience was wonderful. Everything we ordered was incredible, and the staff were extremely attentive. The owner even personally gifted my dad some Turkish Delight for his birthday. Wishing this restaurant the best and hoping they stick around for a long time. Would definitely recommend and will certainly be back !

Started off with the içli köfte (kibbeh) and sarma (stuffed grape leaves). The köfte had a wonderful seasoning and were absolutely mouthwatering. Could eat a million if I could! Shared the çipura (sea bream) and manti (dumplings). I rarely eat fish but this sea bream was divine. It’s a slow eat (you must be careful of the bones) but it was grilled to perfection. The combination of crispy charred skin with its buttery meat is something worth taking the time for. The dining views are gorgeous. Best place to catch a lakefront sunset.

We found a true gem in Burlington with Kismet! We were craving kebab and sarma, and were so happy to find a place that fit the bill. Our servers were both very helpful and nice. The drinks were delicious and the food was authentic. My husband could not get enough of the baba ganoush and I was very pleased with the sarma. The mixed grill was delicious, we had plenty of leftovers which is always a bonus. Will definitely come back when in Burlington!

I loved my time at Kismet, the food was great and the service was exquisite, the food serving size was also good. They have halal meat for their dishes, just check which ones are halal and which aren’t. They also give me a free Turkish delight 🙂
