I ordered the jasmine tea along with a sushi and sashimi platter, which came with miso soup, plus a spicy yellowfin roll . Overall, it was a pretty mixed experience. The sashimi was actually very good — fresh, clean-tasting, and nicely sliced. You could really appreciate the quality of the fish in those pieces ✨.
The sushi rice, however, was a bit disappointing. It tasted like it hadn’t been seasoned properly and seemed to rely more on plain starch rather than that balanced vinegar flavor you expect from good sushi. It just felt like it wasn’t fully finished or brought together the way it should be. The roll had decent flavor, but the rice affected the overall bite. Still, the sashimi and tea were enjoyable , though I hope they refine the rice preparation in the future.

My husband and I went last night. Ordered the crap rangoons and egg roll. Crab ragoons were edible but the egg rolls were a creamy, mushy texture inside. Then we ordered the sexy lady roll, black pepper chicken and fried rice. The sexy lady roll was edible but not much flavor at all. The chicken in the black pepper chicken was rubbery, fatty and just yuck. The fried rice had no flavor at all, even though it looked like it did.
The staff was very attentive and friendly. The atmosphere was very chill and relaxing but we do not care to try it again because of the stomach cramping we had all night.

Everything tasted like seafood. I understand they serve seafood but for other people ordering things like cashew chicken and Mongolian beef you shouldn’t have to have it taste like seafood. The crab ragoon had little to literally no cream cheese in them. The sushi, most expensive thing ordered, was packed up with hot entrees for pickup and so became hot and nasty. Definitely not somewhere we will eat again.

Instead they just used the starch they didn’t finish washing off to stick it together. The miso soup was lacking flavor from the broth. But overall the service was fantastic. They were very polite and the food we ordered came fresh and fast. My wife ordered shrimp lo mein. The noodles were cooked just fine and the seasoning was good. But there was one weird thing. It tasted like they velveted the shrimp. If shrimp is cooked properly, you don’t need to velvet them. Remember C is cooked O is overcooked. But I would eat there again considering it’s hard to find decent sashimi near me. If you’re in Marshalltown, give it a try.

This is by far one of the absolute best Chinese food restaurants that we have ever been.
This was one that we frequent with our family and sometimes just drive there on a whim when we want to have good Chinese.

I loved it! Best place I’ve been to so far in marshalltown. The prices are very fair and the food so delicious! I don’t want to go anywhere else to eat! Their egg drop soup is just amazing! And I love their sesame chicken! I very highly recommend this place! Definitely a must try if you like good cheese food.
Update. Went back after its reopening. Not as good as was. Got the sesame chicken. And it was literally swimming in its sauce And with a tiny bowl of rice it wasn’t a good combination.

I’m tired of everything is always tiny boxes anytime we get carry out it is ridiculous that I pay 50 dollars for these meals that when you take home aren’t even half the size as they are in the restaurant this is not the first time this happened to us ordering from here. I love there food over all others in town but this is beyond sad. You charge as much as you do and give NOTHING
