From the moment we walked in, we were welcomed into a beautiful private dining experience with an ambience that was warm intimate, inviting , elegant and luxury! It made me feel like true royalty.
The manager Jonas, went ABOVE AND BEYOND to ensure my birthday felt #special from start to finish. ❤️

A whole lot of hype for very poor tasting food. Over priced and the quality was horrible. The mashed potatoes were like soup, my steak was so charred it looked like beef jerky (and was sent back after waiting on the manager 15+ minutes to “authorize” a remake) but I just decided to cancel my order because NOTHING on the plate was edible. The waitress was wonderful and apologized for the food failure. 1st and only time I will ever attempt to eat there!!!

We had a late lunch there so it was rather quiet. The gorgeous dark wood floors and the decor was so lovely. There are many window views of the treed lot.The Nineteenth Century Club has been renovated into this beautiful restaurant
My husband and I had a dinner for 2 of a wonderful turf and surf dish called the Josper Grill – prime rib, rib eye,lobster tail, shrimp, bone marrow bones. The presentation to the table was impressive and everything on the dish was succulent and savory! The prime rib and ribeye was soft like butter! The drink menu has an exceptional variety. Beers, wines, cocktails. We had Modelo Especial, and a fabulous hibiscus margarita. Dessert and champagne was so delicious! Berry Cheesecake and cornbread with sweet cream! Completed the meal with a double espresso
The service was impeccable. Our server, Camilla made our experience the best! She shared her favorites on the menu and told us intricate details about the recipes.

My friend did her wedding here. The rooms they have to rent are beautiful . We were told we could set it up how we wanted, but that was not the case. We were able to pivot & it still worked.

I didn’t know what Tekila steakhouse on Union Ave. would be like. It exceeded all of our expectations and then some. The quality of the food, the excellent service, atmosphere, creativity of the menu, and the atmosphere was excellent. The prices mean that is a special occasion for us, but so worth it. This will be our new favorite place.

What an incredible experience at Takila Mexican Steakhouse in Memphis! I stopped by solo for dinner and was blown away by every aspect of my visit.
I ordered the tamarindo margarita and top sirloin burger, both excellent, but the real showstopper was the salsa made fresh to taste right at your table, absolutely phenomenal! I couldn’t even eat any fries because the chips and custom salsa were so good!
The attention to customization and freshness really sets this place apart.
The timing worked out perfectly as I arrived just before the dinner rush, and the manager went above and beyond to make me feel welcome and taken care of. The level of hospitality was outstanding.
The ambiance deserves special mention too – dining in such a beautifully preserved historic building adds a unique atmosphere that you just can’t find everywhere. The character and charm of the space really enhanced the entire experience.
This place made such an impression that I’m already planning my next trip to Memphis just to come back here. Highly recommend for anyone looking for exceptional food, service, and atmosphere!

We waited 20 minutes for drinks. The homemade salsa table side was the best part but waited 10 minutes for chips. We ordered steak fajitas to share and we were told it was not enough food. We had to get a to go box. The beans were ice cold. The server came by 15 minutes later to check on us. We then asked for hot beans that then had a totally different cheese on them. The steak was extremely fatty. If you go here, prepare to wait after seated, bring a coat, it is freezing. The corn tortillas were good. They fail to mention gratuity is added and hand you a machine not a check. We also received a paper menu while others received normal menus. The bathroom was disgusting. Toilet would not flush. Toilet paper was all over the ground. Oh, the napkin I placed in my lap looked as if it had just been used. Do not go for great service or good food as it is not worth $40 for fatty steak fajitas. Maybe $15.99. I do not feel this place will be around long. This was a celebration for a retirement for someone who served our country for 30 years. Very disappointed. For the price of drinks, a smoked old fashion should have 1 block of ice, not cherries you put on a milkshake. Also, if 2 people order a smoked drink, bring 2 smokers. BAD EXPERIENCE. $125 FOR 1 entree and 2 drinks which anywhere else would be around $50. Nothing special at all. I would never recommend. I know they will write back we apologize for your experience and hope you will return and give us another chance. I would consider if you refunded my $125 or send me a gift card otherwise, there is no way so please don’t send the cookie cutter response, it doesn’t help.

If I could give this place ZERO stars I would. The food is absolutely awful. The ribeye had the texture of boiled meat with fake grill marks. I asked for medium rare but was instead served a steak looking closer to slightly boiled flesh on a plate (yuck). Not to mention it was absolutely tasteless (lack of seasoning AND lack of marble. This was no doubt a low grade cut disguised as ‘Choice’). The mashed potatoes were super salty and the steamed veggies reminded me of the mixed bags you throw in the microwave. Truly, nothing was good.
To add insult to injury, the service is also pretty pathetic —not accommodating at all. Chips are served without salsa. Yeah, just baskets of tortillas chips with nothing to dip it in, and every little thing has an up charge (i.e. requesting sour cream with your fajitas = +$2 and was never brought out by the way, lol.)
You truly could NOT PAY ME to eat at this place again. Don’t be fooled by the website or decor, there is NOTHING upscale about this place. The food is disgusting, and the service MAY be even worse.
You’ll find a better steak at Longhorn (not joking), and better tacos on a random food truck down the street.

We had reservations and were promptly seated. Appetizers and entrees were adequately spaced, our drinks were delicious without being potent. Kudos to the chef because all our dishes were hot and so dang good. The ambiance is very elevated, beautifully decorated.
