We came here for lunch. They have daily specials so we ordered those and from the menu. I ordered the lamb shank with berry rice (additional cost) , cardamom chai (too thick for me), and mango lassi. The lamb was delicious. The rice was okay. Pita was okay too.

The service was excellent. The waitress explained the menu and daily specials to us.

From out of town so we’re a bit hesitant since it was just us there st the time. When the food arrived it smelled, looked, and tasted amazing!! The portions were big and justified for the price! I’m sooo glad we came here and will look forward to coming back the next time we’re in town.

We recently ordered from Kabab Cafe for our church picnic at Kitty Hollow Park, and the experience was absolutely fantastic! From the moment we placed our order to the final bite, everything was handled with care and professionalism.

Delicious Food: The food was a hit with everyone! The chicken curry and chili chicken were perfectly seasoned and made to juicy perfection. The rice was fluffy and flavorful, and the naan was warm and fresh. Even the vegetarian options were thoughtfully prepared and full of flavor. You could really taste the quality and authenticity in every dish.

Reliable Delivery: Kabab Cafe went above and beyond to ensure our food arrived on time and piping hot. Delivering to a park can be tricky, but they navigated it seamlessly. Everything was well-packaged, labeled, and ready to serve, which made setup a breeze.

Perfect for Gatherings: Our church community was truly blessed by the meal. It brought everyone together and added a special touch to our day at the park. We received so many compliments from attendees, and several people asked where the food was from!

Highly recommend Kabab Cafe for any event—whether you’re hosting a picnic, party, or just craving a great meal. We’ll definitely be ordering again!

They offer a great combination of Mediterranean and Indian cuisine, and everything we tried was outstanding. The service was excellent, and the chef was extremely friendly and welcoming, which made the experience even better.
It’s also impressive to know that the chef previously worked with Qatar Airways , you can definitely see the professionalism and expertise reflected in the food presentation and taste .

Excellent food and warm hospitality!
One of the best Middle Eastern flavors I’ve tried in the Houston area. The hummus and tomato-cucumber salad were excellent, and their popular chicken and rice dish was outstanding. The staff were friendly and attentive, and the owner, John, was especially welcoming and made us feel right at home. Highly recommend Kabab Cafe for authentic Persian and Middle Eastern cuisine—we’ll definitely be back.

We ordered catering from Kabob Cafe for kids birthday and Super Bowl watch party … food turned out very good try the tea if you are at the restaurant … we tried chicken curry and bread that came with it at the store which was made in very special Kerala version which we enjoyed as a family. And during our Event our guests enjoyed the flavors, we had ordered 1 full trays chicken 65 and 2 full trays of Biriyani, lot of friends asked about it after .. definitely recommend … chef was very friendly and explained us the menu and options available for catering … we switched our dates during the week and chef was able to accommodate our request. Also provided warmer for the food so it stayed fresh till we started serving. Lot of options if you are in Missouri city n around Houston.

I ordered the koobedieh mix (1 chicken & 1 beef) and the saffron ice cream. The koobedieh was absolutely delicious and seasoned to perfection! I preferred the beef over chicken, but both were amazing. The saffron ice cream was also great, and probably one of the best saffron ice creams I’ve had in the USA. It tasted like it was made with love, and had hints of nutmeg and cardamom which elevated the flavor. I definitely would recommend you come here if you’re looking for delicious Persian food.

We were there a few days ago and I was totally taken by surprise as I thought this was one of the best middle eastern flavors I have tried in Houston area. The hummus and tomato, cucumber salad was excellent and I really loved their special chicken and rice dish…I forget the name but it is one of their most popular dishes. Jerlin and John, the owners and chef are great hosts and very accommodating. They also have Indian food for catering which I am also looking forward to trying. I highly recommend this place for Persian, Middle Eastern flavor cuisines. We will be back to try many more dishes.

**UPDATED REVIEW — RESPONSE TO FEEDBACK**

Menu:
The “gyro” you served us doesn’t resemble an actual gyro in the slightest. What you gave us was nowhere close. I have attached photos of what you served versus standard gyro images from Google.

Dining Experience:
When this happened, there were no other guests present. We asked you to leave our table so we could just eat, yet you repeatedly interrupted us to argue and insist you had “the same chef.” That’s irrelevant because what we were served was not a gyro. Your inability to respect our request for space only made the experience worse. Instead of listening to the customer, you doubled down, contradicted yourself, and wasted our time. Respect for customers means knowing your own menu, understanding what you’re serving, and not making excuses.

Beverage for Children:
Your kids’ menu states “canned drink,” yet we were told apple juice was the only option because your wife, Jerlin, insisted on it. The menu says otherwise. I even attached a photo as proof. We settled on apple juice, only to be told it was “premium” (something we didn’t even know about). This wasn’t you accommodating us; it was us following what your own menu says. Another example of poor communication and contradicting your own written menu.

Billing:
We were ready to let everything go. First, the apple juice issue, then the fake “gyro”, and not to mention, your wife not knowing how to make a regular unsweetened iced tea that is served in most restaurants. We just wanted to finish our meal. But you kept coming over, harassing our table to prove your point. By then, I’d lost my appetite. I asked your wife to take my untouched food back because it was not what I ordered. You said, “Fine, you don’t have to pay.” At that point, we left. That’s not “dining and dashing.” You have video footage. Rewatch it and listen closely.

Documentation:
Good for you. I will also keep sharing my experience, so others know exactly what to expect from both your food and your customer service, which is poor quality, misrepresentation, and an inability to respect customers.

This experience was a masterclass in how not to treat customers. You contradicted your own menu, couldn’t accurately describe or present the dish you were selling, and prioritized proving yourself right over resolving the situation. Poor customer service isn’t just about lack of knowledge of your own products. It’s about failing to deliver what’s promised and refusing to take accountability.

New owners. Food served isn’t even Persian anymore. Meat was flavorless and stale. Rice isn’t fluffy, but soggy. “Gyro wrap” isn’t with pita bread and instead was served with some low carb tortilla alternative and had the audacity to say it’s pita bread. Showed them what a gyro and pita bread is supposed looks like, and the lady there asks if I was looking up “kabob cafe’s gyro” because apparently “gyros are all different where you order”. Sure, but don’t keep claiming you still have the same chef as before the change when the food obviously is different. The gyro wrap is now also served with pickles, which was never in the dish before. “Oh, but we hired the same chef.” How?? It was literally a mom and pop shop (who were very nice and sweet) where mom works at the front end and pop is at the back end- who is the one cooking and was the chef. Soooo how did you hire the pop?

Also ordered kids meal. In the description, it states it includes “canned drink.” And yet when I asked my kids what they want, the lady at the front immediately informs us that they only serve apple juice with kids meal. If that’s the case, why is it on the menu that you offer something else and completely contradicts it and insist that it only comes with apple juice.

Nothing is the same. Service sucks. Food sucks. Never coming back.
