TO LIVE AND FRY IN L.A. In 2017, four childhood friends came up with a simple concept — take Nashville Hot Chicken and make it better than anyone else in America. With only a couple thousand dollars to their name, they boot-strapped a pop-up concept in a parking lot in East Hollywood serving a simple menu of tenders, sliders, fries, and kale slaw — they created a viral cult following with lines consistently over an hour long.

I have to give a huge shoutout to Dave’s Hot Chicken, I tried them for the first time about a year ago and they have truly been consistently amazing every single time I visit. From the very first bite, the food never disappoints. The chicken is always perfectly cooked, juicy on the inside with that signature crispy coating on the outside, and the heat levels are actually accurate. Whether you like it mild or you’re going all the way up the spice scale, the flavor is always on point, bold, fresh, and seriously satisfying. I love that every time I put my order in, it’s made fresh.
What really keeps me coming back, though, is the consistency. It doesn’t matter which day or time I go, the quality is always there. That kind of reliability is hard to find, and Dave’s absolutely delivers. On top of the great food, the customer service deserves serious recognition too. The staff has been respectful, friendly, and welcoming every single time I’ve walked in. You can tell they care about the experience just as much as the food, and it makes a big difference. Today Jolene took my order, and she’s taken my order several times before and like the rest, she’s always so kind and respectful! Thank you.

Came here for the first time today and I’m telling you this chicken is tender, juicy, and very well seasoned. The Dave’s sauce is delicious and pairs perfectly with the chicken. I got the Dave’s 10 piece bites. Service was fast only took him 3 minutes to get my order done. I will definitely be coming back here next time

Came in and ordered the traditional Dave’s sandwich combo. And the bites and the slaw. This is new in Santa Maria. The theme, food and service is the same throughout California. Surprised it was not as packed. Great combo deals, and spice levels. The staff is friendly. Love Canes, but this place blows it away with variety and serving size.

Everything is good about this place. Unfortunately im giving it only 4 stars because there is another establishment ment with similar options at a cheaper price closer to where I work.
Other than that the chicken is really good, cole slaw and fries.
Ohh and the soda is extra not included in the combo.

Again DAVE’s Hot Chicken DELIVERS!!! Man the chicken sandwich is the best!! And the atmosphere here is so artistic it’s just fun looking at the walls. The staff here in Santa Maria was friendly and patient as we figured out what to get. My only comment is BRING BACK THE CAULIFLOWER!! PLEASE! SOOOO GOOD!

This is the OG Dave’s Hot Chicken! (Established in 2017) The food is always great! If you’re sensitive to spice, order conservatively as their chicken gets spicy! Ask for some honey at the counter just in case you you get it wrong the first go as it mellows out the spice.
The chicken is always moistened and tender, the pickles are always very tasty. I like their fries, but the chicken is definitely the selling point! The service is great at this location and everything’s always clean!

I called to get the fallout pack. The person I talked to said that all I needed to order was a saucy bites or #4. I ordered that and when I went to pick it up they didn’t give me the fallout pack. They said that’s a different promo. The store manager, Jolene, then argued with me and wouldn’t do anything to make it right. She literally said that she didn’t say they had any in stock when I had just confirmed with another associate that they did have them. Chicken was overcooked or had been sitting awhile. First and last time at this place. All hype and no delivery.
