Very clean restaurant. Nice customer service. Quick! Clean public restrooms. Plenty of seating. The rice was delish. Entree (General Chicken) was similar to Panda Express. Made fresh and hot!

Their sweet and sour chicken is NOT good. Their chow mein is NOT good. The portion size for a $16 after tax meal is very small. Also, expect tempura battered chicken, not breaded, so expect it oily because you’ll definitely taste it. I won’t go back. Do yourself a favor and drive the rest of the way to Neosho to get good Chinese food that has 10x better flavor, 2x portion size, and still a little cheaper. I still can’t believe I paid $16 for this child’s size portion of something that tastes like it came out of the freezer section at Walmart.

I would highly recommend this place. The owner/operator was friendly, transparent, and just down to earth. The food was hot, and fresh. Its hard to find good Chinese food where the rice doesnt taste like it was prepared with toilet water. The only reason the food isn’t a 5 star is a preference thing. I like a lot of flavor and spice. I do understand the struggle of not being able to please everyone because some have a soft palette and cant handle spices. Other than missing a little kick that I like the food was great. I will also say they had some of the best egg rolls. I could tell the oil was fresh because they didn’t leave that oily after taste. Crisp, hot, and tasty.

The food was excellent! I had the sesame chicken, not overly sauced, lightly fried to crisp and fresh, tender chicken and the rice was not over cooked either. My husband has the general tsao and it was also made well.
Definitely recommend!

The Chinese restaurant has a simple, no-frills layout with the option to dine in or carry out. I ordered the Pad See-Ew combo, which came with both chicken and pineapple chicken in the same dish (other combos are available). The flavors blended nicely—savory with just the right touch of sweetness. The rice noodles were cooked perfectly: tender without being mushy, and with a slight chew. A satisfying and flavorful meal overall.

Tried the New Mai Chinese in Anderson, MO Tonight
I was in Anderson, MO, for work this evening and had heard some buzz about the new Mai Chinese restaurant that recently opened. Being a huge fan of Chinese food, I had to check it out! I’ve had the chance to experience some incredible Chinese cuisine in the Chinatowns of San Francisco, Phoenix, Dallas, Tampa, and Denver, so I was excited to see what this spot had to offer.
The restaurant is small, with about 13 tables, and I was seated quickly. I started with the appetizer combo, which included house-made egg rolls and crab cheese wontons. The service was fast—my appetizers arrived in under five minutes! Unfortunately, the crab cheese wontons had a bit of an off-putting taste, possibly due to old grease or cross-flavoring from previously cooked food. It wasn’t terrible, just not as fresh as I’d hoped.
For my entrée, I ordered a favorite—General Tso’s Chicken with fried rice. The dish arrived quickly, but I was a bit disappointed that the fried rice was completely plain—no onions, peas, egg, or anything I usually expect. The General Tso’s Chicken was just okay—small, gumball-sized pieces with some scallions on top.
Overall, the food was mediocre at best, and while I finished my meal, it’s not a place I’d go out of my way to visit again. On the plus side, the service was great, and the restaurant was clean! If you’ve tried it, I’d love to hear your thoughts!

Decided to come try them out today on a solo trip to treat myself, I must say I did not have high hopes, but I am happy to report I was pleasantly surprised. I ordered the leeche tea, and it was delightfully refreshing, not overly sweet, very nice. Food I had the sesame chicken with fried rice, it was hot fresh and delicious again not overly sweet or spicy like most in the area. Friendly staff lovely demeanor very helpful. Over all I’d say if you are in the area definitely give them a try. The prices are I bit on the higher side fir the portion sizes but honestly worth it in my opinion. I will be back with my family next time.

My Boss has not been feeling to well. So I thought who makes chicken noodle soup?
When I stopped by another store I thought well I will ask Mai if they have it and sure enough they did so I bought some and gave it to my boss she was happy and thought that was nice, but when she took the top off and dug into it she was very pleased! She said I am feeling better already!
Thank you so much for great soup that provided many smiles and a full tummy and happy Boss!
