TO LIVE AND FRY IN L.A. In 2017, four childhood friends came up with a simple concept — take Nashville Hot Chicken and make it better than anyone else in America. With only a couple thousand dollars to their name, they boot-strapped a pop-up concept in a parking lot in East Hollywood serving a simple menu of tenders, sliders, fries, and kale slaw — they created a viral cult following with lines consistently over an hour long.

The menu’s pretty short, not a lot of options, but what they have is solid. We ordered the 10-piece Dave’s Bites, a single tender, and the #1 combo (2 tenders and fries). The tenders are quite large.
Each of those items comes with their Dave’s sauce, which is pretty good.
The 10-piece Bites were my favorite, probably what I’ll get next time.
Parking was easier than I thought it’d be- plenty of spots in the garage nearby and it wasn’t difficult to get in and out at lunch time. Inside is pretty loud with the music, the tables outside are much more peaceful to enjoy spicy chicken. The chicken itself was really good, heavy spice, juicy, flavorful. I’ll be back.

Highly recommend you pay Dave’s a visit. The food is delicious (coming from someone who tried Chic-fil-a burgers and surprisingly did NOT like them), if you choose spicy you GET spicy, the people are super friendly, and the place is super clean!! I came here with my husband and baby girl and we enjoyed our lunch very much! The chicken is halal and even the bread is approved by my husband saying it doesn’t have any pork products (yes surprisingly and unfortunately many breads these days has some type of pork product). We usually do pick up but this is the first time we dine in and id totally go again! I’m posting photos of the place so you see how clean it is and also those murals – just wow!! A really fun chill vibe.

I love Dave’s hot chicken and this is the second location I’ve been too. It’s extremely nice inside and out and the staff were very friendly. I picked up my online order on time and it was hot and fresh. The workers were nice and helpful, I definitely recommend this place. The food is always great and the chicken is unbelievable.

So delicious! I highly recommend getting a slusher because it’s so refreshing. This was my first time here and the location is very big with tons of seating. The staff was friendly and the food was ready within 10 minutes. There’s also a QR code at the front where you can get a free drink after completing the survey.

First time here! Chicken was seasoned and juicy and just overall the bomb! Got mild for spice level defintely would recommend there’s barely a kick to it. Pickles were very good and so is the Dave’s sauce. Highly recommend 10/10

Food did lack flavor even though it was seasoned! I got the mild slider. Got the bright idea to add mac and honey on it… that made it wayyy better! Fries were cool but again seasoned but still lacked. Need some salt or something to bring it up.
My drink didn’t have any syrup in the machine so that was disappointing! (I should have checked before I left)!
The tenders were huge! Really one is enough.
Can’t say I would spend another $15-20 here.

10/10 HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!! When I tell you this food was so delicious, I mean just that! Even the fries were on point. The sauce is good especially with the honey and pickles together. The service was great. Everyone was friendly and polite. Yall definitely have to try Dave’s Hot Chicken!

Really impressed with the food, service, and cleanliness of the restaurant. We got their hottest chicken option “reaper” and it was pretty freakin’ hot. We had to sign a waiver it was that hot. If you like really spicy but not to the point of suffering, I’d recommend the “very hot” option. The chicken, fries, and shakes were all phenomenal! Can’t wait to be back.

The restaurant is clean and spacious but it is very loud. Also there is outside seating.
The portions are great for the price you pay. I am not into spicy but the mild was very tasty and was not spicy. No seasoning in my opinion is not an option. The Dave’s sauce is good on everything.

My son has been dying to come try the chicken here. So we finally made it since we had a sporting event near here. Huge pieces of Chicken! Portions were definitely big, price was a bit high considering drinks weren’t included. We are a family of 5 and all got combos, so it was a bit expensive to eat. But next time we know how to order to make it a bit more affordable. The staff was great, friendly and helpful. We really enjoyed it and We would come back.
