Food was great and decently priced. I got the BBQ burger with the sauce on the side and it was SO good, cooked perfectly. We also got peanut butter pie for dessert which was delicious(and huge)! Service was fast and they were friendly, loved the atmosphere. Will definitely come back.

Lovely and relaxing place to unwind and eat delicious and I mean delicious food.
We stopped here on a whim and we were glad we did. The weather was beautiful so we utilized their outdoor dining area. The umbrellas provided shade and the atmosphere was great.
We went with burgers, but if the taste of their burgers and fries are any indication then I’m guessing you can’t go wrong with any of their menu items.
I will say it didn’t feel like the kind of place I would feel comfortable taking my newborn baby – but I can’t wait to come back for a date night.

This place was a wonderful little gem not too far from the campground and made the perfect stop for the first night in town. The waitress Sandie was wonderful and when I asked for some suggestions of things to do in town she came back with a full list after asking the other staff. The food is great and reasonably priced. The atmosphere reminds me of a magazine.

We dined in with a party of five, but I can truly only speak to my own experiences. Personally, I really enjoyed it. I ordered “The Hassmer Grilled Salmon” as my main dish and it was very good. The white wine cream sauce and bed of caramelized cauliflower that it comes with is excellent. Totally recommend it. I also had their holiday special “sugar cookie martini” to drink – it was fun to try, but I probably wouldn’t recommend it unless you’re feeling particularly adventurous, lol.

Had an amazing stay at the inn! Plus, we had the finest dining I’ve experienced in Indiana at the restaurant, phenomenal chef! Seriously, a great place to stay when your friends say they want to go camping, hiking, photographing at the state park and have a meal at the restaurant if you’re anywhere within driving distance!

So delicious! We started out sharing fried pickles with (from scratch)chipotle ranch… My husband had the mushroom Swiss burger with fries and I had the spinach-cheese ravioli with pesto.
It was all incredible!
Dessert of coffee and biscotti or the AMAZING lemon-blueberry bread pudding with ice cream! (So unique to HassmerHouse!)

This is the best restaurant I’ve been to in a long time. My husband and I are just in town for the weekend and we were between going here or another restaurant in town and I am SO GLAD we picked the Hassmer House! Super friendly service, beautiful dining area, and great food! It is obvious that someone put care into every detail of this restaurant.

We randomly came across this place for lunch after a good morning of hiking near by at Versailles State Park. Really glad we did. Our food was delicious and I thought the inside decor had a really nice blend of old and modern.
