The food at Los Garcias was amazing. My daughter ordered the tacos de pescado and absolutely loved them. They were fresh flavorful and perfectly cooked. She also ordered the fried ice cream which was a huge hit. I had the seafood fajitas and they were incredible sizzling hot with generous portions of seafood and great seasoning. The horchata was amazing. Everything tasted fresh and well prepared. The customer service was amazing. We left stuffed and already ready to visit again.

I honestly don’t know how this place has any good reviews. The rice was way overcooked and completely plain, zero flavor. The beans were the total opposite, overly seasoned and salty to the point where they were hard to eat. The tortillas were clearly store-bought, and the “steak” was a whole other problem. It was watery, had a weird taste, and honestly looked more like a pork chop. Half of it was just fat and tendon.

The horchata tasted like watered-down powdered mix, and the jalapeño poppers were just sad. Jack in the Box has better jalapeño poppers, and that says a lot. Overall, this was a disappointing meal and definitely not worth the money.

We came in for a late lunch. The good thing here was very fast service and good delivery.
The food however was pretty basic Mexican, more fast food style in my opinion. Drinks were ok but definitely cheaper made than others we’ve had in the area.

This is our first time here, and we’ll definitely be back. It’s been incredibly difficult to find good Mexican food in Hawaii, but this restaurant met all our expectations.

The owners are authentic Mexicans from Guadalajara, and the food and service are excellent. We loved the salsas and drinks! If you want to try good Mexican food in Hawaii, this is definitely your best option!!

Hands down, the BEST restaraunt salsa I’ve ever had. Everything was perfect from the rice, beans, Burriz tacos, and my Mango margarita. Our waiter was kind, quick, attentive, and efficient. I felt like I was in a quaint family owned restaraunt in Mexico vs Hawaii. We will visit again when in town. It’s not a 5 star restaraunt but the service and kindness my husband I received was 10s across the board. Thank you Garcia family !!

Los Garcia’s in Kailua absolutely blew us away. We ordered the chimichanga, tostadas, the Burrito Garcia, and two kids’ cheese quesadillas — every single dish was fresh, flavorful, and beautifully prepared. The mango margaritas was well poured and balanced.

The chimichanga was the best I’ve ever had: perfectly crisp, generously filled, and packed with flavor. Their table salsa deserves its own shout-out too — rich, fresh, and with just the right amount of spice.

Great food, welcoming vibe, and a place we’ll absolutely be returning to. Highly recommended for anyone craving quality Mexican food on the Windward side.

Here’s a polished, millennial-tone review you can drop right into Google, Yelp, or wherever you need it:

Los Garcia’s is that spot you go to when you’re craving legit, home-cooked Mexican food without having to actually cook. Everything tastes like it came straight from someone’s abuela’s kitchen—comforting, fresh, and zero pretentious vibes. The portions are generous, the flavors are on point, and the whole place just feels warm and familiar. If you want real, no-nonsense Mexican comfort food that hits every time, this is it.

This is definitely the last time we’re eating here. We really wanted to support this local spot, but after this experience, we just can’t keep coming back.

There were ten of us, and we stopped in on a Saturday night. We noticed the “Birria” special right away. Even though I usually skip the specials, my daughter and I decided to go for it. Cut to later, and four people in our group got seriously sick. It hit us that night, kept going all day Sunday, and even into Monday. Every single person who got sick had eaten the birria.

My wife called the restaurant on Sunday to tell them what happened. The woman who said she was the owner apologized, but she immediately shut down our complaint by saying, “That’s weird because we never got any other complaints.” That made us feel like they didn’t take us seriously or think our concern was valid. Honestly, the owner’s handling of the situation was a real letdown. They offered and credited us for the two birria orders, but they made sure to remind us again that we were the only ones who had complained.

To be fair, the service on Saturday night was very good.

My burrito plate came out cold-not even semi-warm, everything: burrito, beans and cheese, and rice. I asked to have it warmed. They didn’t remove the salad before microwaving it. Yuk! The server was very kind. Location is a busy street corner red light with cars idling exhaust in your face if on the patio. My food was awful. The wine was horrible, and I’m leaving a full glass. I’m very disappointed. Cute patio, but that’s it.

I’m Latina and I didn’t like it at all, the food doesn’t have seasoning, the atmosphere nothing to do very boring I was already falling asleep they should put on good music and more lighting, the service was not bad only that the ladies look like they were bored and tired. Many things should change. For a very difficult parking lot, it does not have its own parking lot. The truth is nothing to do
