You never get what you order. Pay extra for nacho cheese sauce and you never get it. Guess the delivery driver keeps it or the store is just incompetent. Pizza is never fully cut, had to cut our own pizza and cheese sticks. The last 2 or 3 times I’ve ordered I never and I mean NEVER get my cheese sauce. Save yourself time and spend the extra somewhere else. Because apparently they are just incompetent at reading

Read all the other reviews and then ordered anyway. I live in Orange Beach not Gulf Shores so that helps. My pizza arrived early and was delicious. I got the Shaq-a-roni for $13.99 deal!

Placed an order and waited 1.5 hour due to the DoorDash driver not knowing the address. I called the driver Matthew M. Twice and he told me he was bringing our food. Then, It was noted it was returned to the store so I called and the lady that answered gave me a story she there by herself. So I went up there to ensure she could provide me a credit for my transaction. There were 6 employees there and no one seemed to know what was going on. I wanted the pizza but credited on my delivery and tip but they didn’t know where the pizza. This franchise owner is losing their assets if this is a reoccurring issue.

Please not that this review and rating is based on consolidation of Google Maps reviews from two locations. Rather than the Gulf Shores location being permanently closed and a separate location added, it appears that the address was changed to Orange Beach so that reviews would remain on same location.
2023 Orange Beach Location: Pizzas were ordered via Papa John’s mobile app. (If you eat Papa John’s fairly often like we do, this is the way to go, as you accumulate points which results in free pizzas.) We placed an order to to be picked up at a later time, so that they would be hot since we have a 20 minute drive back to the house. We received a notification 10 minutes later that the order was ready for pickup. We applaud them producing an order so quickly, but it did defeat the purpose of having it them made at a later time. This meant the pizzas were sitting on the shelves for 40 minutes before arrived, and would be sitting in our car another 20 minutes before arriving home. If you have an order that need to be made at a specific time, I recommend calling as soon as the mobile order is placed to make sure that it’s understood that the order needs to be made later, not immediately. Pizzas tasted good though.
2022 Orange Beach Location: Pizzas were as ordered, ready for pickup on time.
2019 Gulf Shores Location: This Papa John’s has burned a long-lasting humorous memory in my daughter’s mind…and a long-lasting memory of molten pizza on my leg. The pizza is so good. You know when it smells so good and the box Is warm on your lap. You have to sample. Against bodily well-being you still have to sample. Even though you know that first bite has the potential to pull all the liquid topping off and scald your tongue, lips, and chin in the process. I was aware of the swing to the chin. I dodged it with catlike reflexes…only to have molten pizza toppings fall onto my inner thigh. I don’t think I’ve ever screamed that loud. Of course my daughter is laughing hysterically in the backseat. “Daddy screamed like a girl.” She still laughs about it every time there is Papa John’s. All of that to say it’s fresh and hot. We were back again for another big order. Ordered online and order was ready as scheduled when we arrived. Our cashier even helped carry our order to the car. Thanks again.

Terrible food even worse service I got ignored my first 10 minutes in the lobby my order was done 30 minutes late and after watching my order come out the oven the lady took another ten minutes to put a sticker on a box and hand it to me , terrible experience I will never return After how shitty they were, I don’t think I ever want to go to Papa John’s again terrible place. If I could give them zero stars I would. The district manager was even in there and the staff was rude and terrible. I don’t know how this place is even open.

After several texts with delivery times fluctuating, An hour later I call and our pizza is ready, sitting on the hot rack and I’m told they’re waiting on driver…. However according to the texts, our driver was there waiting on pizza to be cooked. I get busy nights but this is beyond ridiculous- 1.5 hours for pizza delivery.
