Amazing food! The service here at this family owned restaurant is amazing. 25years in the neighborhood and you can tell they still care.
We came for the Pakistani Cuisine and just had to go back the next lunch day for pizza by the slice. Everything was worth every penny. The portions are generous and appreciated!

Simple, no frills, good food. Super friendly service from brother in the front. Tikka masala, roti, mango lassi, y’all have heard of those. But the tikka masala pizza? Last time we came here, way pre pandemic, they didn’t have that option, so a pleasant surprise. We bought a fat slice for a super reasonable price…it was bomb! Light and airy, with a hefty amount of toppings (tikka masala). Put it like this, the slice was enough for my wife and I to share, and we usually never share lol. Come here, grub, and enjoy a good meal for a joog price

Great food. We enjoyed every single grain of it. Parking is an issue but there’s a $3/hr parking nearby. Sitting area is not as luxurious as a typical American restaurant but okay to sit down and have a bite. We had half tandoori chicken, lamb biriyani and Chana Masada. We savor them every single bit. I will definitely visit every time I go to SF.

The vegetable pakora want cooked properly. The insides were mushy. The chicken Tikka pizza was good. The channa masala came out more as dhal because it was overly cooked. The naan was okay. Avoid curries and probably try only pizza.

We were so disappointed! We love the Tikka Masala as a dish but were so disappointed because the pizza doesn’t taste like Tikka Masala at all! It didn’t taste like anything… I don’t know if there was not enough sauce or something. If it just had taste it would’ve been perfect…

I’ve loved this Indian Pakistani restaurant for over 15 years. But never had tried their Indian pizza till now, first because I had no idea they made pizza, second because they’ve only been offering it for almost 2 years. As my first time dining in again in SF in 2021, the food did not disappoint! The guy who served us, made the food, etc, was super friendly and kind despite the night being quite busy with lots of to go orders and a whole commotion outside the restaurant with some candle vigil with loud music and drunk mourners. The pizza was hella good, samosas were fresh and spicy, the lamb korma and biryani were so tender, I didn’t share the saag paneer, but my family didn’t share the garlic naan with me either so I guess it’s even.

Hands down, my go to spot when I’m always in the Mission, especially 16th Street and Mission. I skip every spot nearby just because of how consistently smackin’ this spot is.

They even took care of me once when I was GONE off the drank. Their hospitality and love is 1/1. Trust me.

Something about this spot always brings me back. There’s a couple of ways to get there. If you’re coming out the way, and want some great Indian/Pakistani cuisine, 16th Street Bart is not that far away, and the 49/14 bus stop to get you around. They got a bathroom, and plenty of seating inside.

I started out with the chicken tikka slice when I first came here. Ask for the tikka sauce on the slice, and for them to warm it up. Trust me. It’s something else. 4.5/5

Their chicken roll is always my go to. It’s a buttered chicken burrito, nicely packed and rolled into some naan; with seasoned basmati rice, and onions. Make sure to ask for the Mint Chutney and Spicy tamarind sauce to accompany all the flavors in the roll. 4.75/5.

When I’m feeling jiggy, I go with their chicken thali. Now these last few times I’ve been there, I substituted the lentils with the saag paneer. If I’m feeling extra jiggy, I go with the garlic cheese naan. The garlic cheese naan is immaculate, has a beautiful cheese pull every time I get it. This time, I went with the regular buttered naan.

Every bite I took, I damn near wanted to cry of joy. The saag paneer and tikka chicken is smothered in flavor, in rich spices and ingredients. I can go here anytime of the week; and it’s ALWAYS consistently smackin’. Almost like they sprinkle some crack in their dishes. Always gotta go with a Sprite. 5/5.

Much love to the owners and people that work here. That’s what keeps this place going. Without them, it wouldn’t be Al Hamra. Hambeezy is the spot.

Absolutely delicious! I came here to eat on a whim and so glad I did. I ordered the keema naan and the spicy chicken curry plate. The food was fresh and hot. The staff is very polite and friendly. Btw, my nose is running (in a good way).

Used to love this place as it is a local spot and has decent prices. But I’ve ordered online twice now and received the wrong order (samosas rather than pakora which I ordered). I called to let them know they got my order wrong hoping they’d make it right, but they simply said, “we didn’t make pakora today so we gave you samosa.” Not even an apology. Horrible customer service, horrible ordering experience. Won’t be dining here again and I suggest you save your money for a better meal at Pakwan right up 16th street.
