Not bad. I like my tonkatsu too have the pork chashu or pork nice and seared. It adds more flavor. And i like the eggs to be soft boiled so the insides are a little runny.

A good location. Taste was OK. Portion was big enough. Service was normal. I might come back.

Service was off the charts wonderful! I had the shrimp fried noodles, shrimp was cooked perfectly, huge portion! Absolutely delicious across the board. Don’t hesitate to come here, reasonably priced for the portions. We had a party of five. We’ll visit here when we visit the islands again. All the good was delicious

Ramen Ya is awesome. Very casual place to eat when you don’t know what to eat for the night. Servings are more than enough for one person. If you buy a single item that’s not in a combo, prepare to share because it is worth it. Even the ramen sets are sharable and a great deal as it’s only $16 for basically three separate meals. The servers are nice. For a franchise brand, Ramen Ya is still good at delivering quality and I love to eat here when I feel sick. Again it is cheap. Yummy for the price.

General sentiment is that the food is massive! We had 2 adults and 2 kids eating and we had a lot of non-Ramen food left over. The Seafood Crispy Noodle was delicious.

When we went the AC was broken and eating hot food when it’s 90°out is a bit of a mistake

I placed a over the phone for take out for a combo a for chicken broth and just noodles, gyoza and chicken katsue rice with no rice. We DROVE there to pick up the food thats NOT EVEN FULLY COOKED AND IM PREGNANT. The chicken katsue was slimy and under cooked, i didnt get chicken ramen frankly i have no clue what i got with mini romen but it wasnt what i ordered and the gyoza was also undercooked. Im pregnant i cant eat any of that and i dont drive my husband had to. I called them explained the situation and she heard me over the phone talk to my husband and him telling me that we wernt going back just to get a refund but they still refused to give me back the money for the UN EDIBLE AND UNDERCOOKED FOOD.

1st time eating here.
Very good ramen and the portion is good.
I think they changed menu.
I should’ve took the pictures of new menu.
I had paitan ramen. It’s chicken soup… it tasted like in between tonkotsu and shoyu to me.
It’s something different and I actually thought it was good.
Good service. Clean feeling.
Katu curry is definitely alot in portion so take home the left over!

Delicious. The tan tan ramen bowl was perfect, full of bamboo shoots, seaweed, egg, pork, and the best level of heat. I loved that I could order a smaller bowl of ramen for my preschooler. My husband loved the Big Bowl, and has enough for lunch tomorrow. I loved that the waitress was willing to tell us about the different bowls and was so patient as we made our choices. So so good.

If you’re looking for a Japanese restaurant in Hawaii that offers ramen and katsu curry at reasonable prices, you should try this place. While there might be a short wait, it’s usually not too long, and the place is quite popular. What’s really impressive, aside from the prices, is the portion sizes—they are generous enough to leave you fully satisfied.

Ok service. Got my order wrong but was hungry so I ate what I was served. Food flavors got boring after a while. Too much!
Gyoza was watery and mushy. Sweet tea was interesting. I wouldn’t go back.
