By far our worst Groupon experience to date, not even close. The owner came off like he was doing us a favor and used every excuse in the book to dishonor it, and even stated they would be paying us to eat there if he were to accept it. After a 20 minute discussion we decided to simply redeem the Groupon value and cut our losses. We have been using groupon’s for a couple of years and have never had this bad of an experience before. We always exceed the minimum purchase and tip well and were planning on doing the same at Harvey’s. That is until the owner demanded that we purchase another two dinner entrées despite the fact that nowhere in the groupon (bold or fine print) could you even find the words dinner entrée.

The food was decent at best, definitely not comparable to Ruth’s Chris or Houstons etc (both restaurants which offer superior food and customer service I might add). This “Steakhouse”, and I use that term very loosely, is more like a miniature, run-down (all four seats at our table were badly cracked and uncomfortable) dive-like Outback Steakhouse with the average patron’s age being far north of 60. This “Steakhouse” clearly gets ~90% of their business from locals who seemingly stumble in from around the corner to take advantage of their happy hour beers, which is pretty much the only drink their happy hour is good for. We each wanted a margarita but was informed they only offer beers and a house wine (Chardonnay) as happy hour drink specials which is a pretty short list in my opinion.

In summary, if you’re 60+ and love 1950’s Karaoke, live within one block of this place, don’t mind paying full price or having your coupon dishonored, and are too intoxicated to drive or appreciate a good tasting meal, this might very well be your dream restaurant.

I went there Saturday for my birthday. The best part was the band. Otherwise, the waitress seemed preoccupied, my steak was overcooked, my baked potato was cold the teaspoon of spinach looked nasty. I definitely won’t be back and I wouldn’t recommend it… Unless you’re going for the atmospere and entertainment. Don’t go for the food!

Service was poor at best, we had to wait for the waitress to take our order and the food took for ever to get to us and when it did it was horrible. The presentation of the food on the plate was not appealing at all. what they call a vegetable was a piece of broccoli, carrot and cauliflower that was not even warm. We ordered the steak and crab , the steak was ok but the crab was very dry and tasteless. the décor is straight out of the 80’s but I could have excused that if my meal would have been good. Prices are not cheap either so I recommend going anywhere but Harvey’s for a good meal.

Got a Groupon to go here for the first time, and they refused to use it. They said people had been coming in all day with Groupons that their owner did not know anything about. (I told Groupon about this and they did refund my money, thank God.) The waitress at Harvey’s also said they would not honor any of the “special” Sunday prices because it was a holiday…it was frickin’ MOTHER’S DAY! On what planet is Mother’s Day a holiday where Sunday prices won’t be honored when it is the same menu as any other day??!! I mean, it wasn’t like there was a special menu for that day or anything!

On top of that, the fish my husband ordered, which was recommended by the waitress, was absolutely uneatable. It tasted like frozen fish that was left out at room temperature for way too long. Disgusting. When we tried to send it back, the waitress gave us a hard time about taking it off the bill, saying she had to talk to her supervisor because we took two bites out if it. I mean, of course we took two bites, we had to try it! I have never had a problem at a restaurant when sending something back when there was only two bites taken out of it…She was completely rude to us about the whole dinner as well. Let’s just say it was so bad she did not get tipped at all. I think I left a few pennies for her actually.

Lastly, I ordered a steak, and it was fine. I could have made it at home better though. For a steak house, the steak should have been pronominal, and for the price, it should have put me in a coma. I was very underwhelmed.

The waitress was rude, the food wasn’t good, they did not honor their groupon, the atmosphere was horrific, and it was difficult to stay through the whole dinner. Needless to say, I will never go back to Harvey’s and do not recommend it to anyone under any circumstance.

This place is so fun! It’s been around for years but the new owner has really made it an all around success! The food is fantastic, we were both happy with the quality of the seafood and steaks…(I had the salmon, my boyfriend the steak) and I love their apps and salads. This place has a lttle something for everyone…great entertainment for all age groups and some fun entertainment on weeknights like karaoke or themed party nights…Atmosphere is very friendly..kinda reminds me of the good ol “Cheers” and the dancefloor on the weekends is always a great thing to watch or join in…Well worth a a dinner or a drink..for sure!

Food is good not great.. a bit pricey the service is fair, The wait staff is great with ONE EXCEPTION.. but here is my big Gripe

I booked for a large party , the band that was playing is friends of our group… I requested seating in the Bar area in front of the band Reservations were made a month in advance.. We arrived Early, no problem as the time for My reservation arrived our very rude waitress gave away one of my Large tables to a party of four, as others in my group were trying to be seated… I had reserved one month in advance… 9 people in my party were taken to a table on the opposite side of the restaurant…They left shortly after without eating, or having even a Drink. I confronted the Waitress who hit me with a vile string of Profanity… and crude language along with very rude behavior. Telling me it was their policy to give away a table if it was not filled by the time of the reservation, the management would not come over to talk to me about it, or maybe she was just lying to me about that… more than likely the case.. The Owner will Listen when I go to his office this week to have the waitress fired.. at the end of our dinner she added the gratuity into the bill.. I subtracted it back out and then had to listen to another rant… If it wasn’t for the fact we are friends with the band, and I help to promote them, I would never go here again.. But I will support the band and attend the shows here, but as for buying food or drinks… AIN’T GONNA HAPPEN!

If you go to Harvey’s.. make sure that you don’t get Denise as your waitress… I have never dealt with such an angry VIle person… She caused 9 of my friends to walk out,, and at their prices at Harvey’s, that is around $500-600 in revenue that she chased away.. I wonder how often that happens… On top of that her service was painfully slow…

Had a Groupon to Harvey’s Steak house, Save your money Folks, where do I start? The Bartender was a young lady who didn’t know what a split of champagne was or what kind they even had, we had a couple of drinks and it was like pulling teeth to pay for our drinks so we could go get a table for dinner, the table we were sat at was unbalanced and we had to call the waitress over to have some one fix the problem, The carpet is worn and the decor is out dated, really get rid of the Christmas lights, While we at the bar and after we were sat for dinner there was this lady who thought she was a sound technician, I say thought because she must have at least on 5 occasions, caused the sound system to feed back at an extremely high level, Not one person from the restaurant asked her to stop, because it was apparent she did not know what she was doing, in fact I was ready to tell my server if it happens again it will effect your tip. The food is nothing to write home about and over priced for sure, I would not recommend going here, Its a neighborhood bar and restaurant, Not a romantic place or even a place to relax.

Party of 5 with two kids, took over 1 hour and 15 Minutes to get our food. Our meals were cold. Our waitress related the reason it was taking so long was due to ordering a lobster. Complained to management, which did nothing to right the issue. Overall slow service.

Excellent service. Very prompt and friendly. Had rib eye. Perfectly cooked. Fried artichoke was amazing. Ceasar salad had a tad too much dressing. But still very delish.
