I stopped into Sakura the other day and had a pretty mixed experience. When I walked in, the hostess immediately asked if I was picking up or dining alone—but it was so loud inside that I had to ask her to repeat herself. The dining area is small, maybe ten tables total, and there’s no bar, so the noise really carries.
I ordered edamame, vegetable tempura, and vegetable hibachi. They serve Pepsi products, which I appreciated. The edamame came out in about seven minutes, and the tempura followed just a few minutes later. I thought I was in the mood for edamame, but it turned out to be very plain—no extra salt or seasoning to give it a boost. The tempura, on the other hand, was piping hot and freshly fried, which was a plus. The dipping dashi just wasn’t sweet enough for my taste, though.
The fried rice tasted a little off—hard to pinpoint exactly why—but it wasn’t my favorite. The highlight of the meal was definitely the vegetable hibachi. It was flavorful and cooked well, and I’d order that again. Overall, Sakura has some strong points, but there are a few areas that could use improvement.

What a gem in an unexpected place. Small plaza nothing around. Ordered the steak and chicken with a salad. The salad dressing was delicious just a great flavor. The steak and chicken flavorful and cook perfectly. The fried rice was cooked on the grill and not just rice covered with soy sauce. I tried the soup as well and enjoyed that as well. I will definitely be back during this trip. Our food was to go so dinning it must have been even better.

So to start off food was just ok nothing amazing. We came in and had Amanda wait on us. Such a friendly amazing waitress. She was very polite and knew her stuff! I work in the service industry myself and it is not easy dealing with the general public but she is amazing!

The food was great! The quality, portions, and taste alone are what will make this place succeed.
What could improve:
Server handed us our bill 2 minutes after our entrees came out. So I definitely felt kind of rushed. Probably take out next time. But I could tell the employees were kind of on the young side. I’m sure with more experience they will get better.
Atmosphere was kind of bland. I was expecting hibachi tables, where they cook in front of us, like Ichiban. Not the case. Everything is cooked in back and brought out to you. Not a big deal though.
Overall:
No real complaints. The food was great enough to keep us coming back. With a few minor upgrades, this place will be a nice visit.

Great food everytime never had any issues up until the other day I had gotten somthing wrong with my order called to talk abt them and they said I could come get a new one or if I didn’t have time tonight that next time I come in they would correct it ! And that the did great customer service and great way of keeping there customer satisfied good business good ppl good food

What’s in the bag: Yum Yum Roll, Northwest Roll, Gyoza, Fried Rice. Good rolls. Clean kitchen. If they don’t answer the phone, call again. It’s a small crew. She’s probably gathering another togo order. Rolls were still great after a 30 minute ride home. Cheers.

Service is terrible waitress was a nightmare from the jump I asked from Pepsi with grenadine she said no so I asked if they had cherry Pepsis and she was so rude with her awnser I will never come here again I will never do my company luncheons there again and I will always recommend everyone I know to not even think about going there and go to Acapulco 2 doors down for better service food and a much more roomy atmosphere! Congrats Sakura you lost a lot of customers because of your terrible service!

AMAZING !!!! We never knew this place existed before today. Please go there when you get a chance. Great food at reasonable prices. We had the lunch hibachi meals with fried rice, vegetables. One meal with salmon the other with steak. One of us had soup, the other had salad. Leftovers for both of us. Cheesecake for dessert. Food is good quality. Trinity our server is friendly and knowledgeable.
If I could offer one suggestion it would be to give the customers a knife (butter knife is fine) so we could cut the salad or veggies smaller if we want to.
Overall a great experience. Will definitely be back. Keep up the good work.
